Online MTT starting chip stack

I am just starting a 900+ MT at PKR. Some people have large stacks of smaller denomination chips, and some have small stacks of large denomination chips. Is it this way anywhere else, and any idea why?

No reason, just graphical. In live tourneys some players like to have more of the smaller denomination so that when they put their chips in it looks like a lot more than it is.

my guess its just a game feature? to make it seem more realistic..

It isn't very often that I am playing a tournament that I don't start out with the same exact chips as everyone else... I would say having them scattered denominations would make it more unrealistic
