alleging it would lead to addiction, bankruptcy, and crime.
Home ownership has led to far more bankruptcy than poker has. I guess we should outlaw that as well? What is this country coming to?
As an experiment, we should try a whole year of "leave me alone" politics. We the people can do whatever we want (so long as we're not hurting others) and the government can't stop us and in turn we can't ask the government to bail us out for any bad choices we make. So we can gamble and purchase homes and eat happy meals, and if it doesn't work out, we face the consequences ourselves. Sounds good to me. The price of the government "protecting us from ourselves" is just too high. Just my $0.02 on the matter.
