| It'll never happen Hi all, Hi Tigertight, simply put they don't. Or at least they don't do enough to stop underage gambling, the use of fax back documents would stop to some extent underage gambling but there are ways around this and kids are usually the first to find out about the loopholes. The most well known way is if you use certain online payment processors there is no need to fax forms etc...Yeah and I know what the next question is going to be but it's a well known fact that a lot of kids can also get access to their parents bank account info, most fraud starts with family and friends, shame but it's true. | Yeah what he said, online really can't prevent things like this. Anybody can go online and put in their name, address and a fake birthday. Its not like they have to put in their SSN, which would let the company run it to see exactly who the person is and their age. |

| re: one question poker Hi all, You may or may not find this interesting, probably more so if your a parent: Underage gambling is a growing problem. In fact, some say it's an epidemic. Losses create desperation, which leads people to obsessive behavior and even crime. Severe mood swings, money loss, panic, and even suicidal thoughts are common. Gamblers' Helpline organizations cite examples of underage gambling as:

| re: one question poker underage 'anything' should not be the responsibility of the dispensing business unless there is a face to face transaction, e.g. liquor store, bar, casino. when did we forget that it is ALWAYS the parent's job to firstly raise their kids with some sort of moral compass and keep vigilant watch over their little charges until they grow up enough to stop effing up every 5 minutes? i can clearly remember when parents were always responsible for what little johnny or janey did out in the big, bad world until they reached their majority (which used to be a far more practical twenty-one years of age...how many 18 year olds do you know who are truly equipped with ability to make appropriate life decisions? i can think of one and i know dozens of the friends of my 3 18+ kids...and no it isn't one of mine, although no unwed pregnancies, drug habits, or nasty behavior yet, knock on wood). when did we all decide that responsibility was the other guys problem? |
