| OMG 100NL Well I was going to get the FPP bonus, make platinumstar again, cash out some, and THEN play 100nl. Well I got the bright idea tonight that maybe I could start playing 100nl now since I'm rolled for it, and then I'll earn the FPPs to clear the bonus faster. Well since I've cut down to 6 tables it's not that much faster, in fact it's probably slower, but I'm getting some good 100nl experience in. Started off with super scared money, but I've loosened up, realized it's still the same game I was beating at 50nl, just double the stakes. Definitely better players, one claimed to fold AA to a low board when I hit a set, and at 50nl that happened like once in 2 billion hands, but I'm just playing solid positional tight-aggressive poker and it seems to be working. Up like 20 bucks over 350 hands and still playing. Not a ton, but not bad considering I pretty much expect to drop a buy-in or two starting out at a new level. Still a lot more hands to go before I draw any solid conclusions, but so far it's going well. We'll see how it goes as I gradually add more tables. |

| re: OMG 100NL poker What's your screen name, Jagsti? Do you ever play 6-max? I've abandoned FR, because I find it too straightforward. 6-max is more aggressive and more fun. Over the past few days, I got to play both NL50 and NL100. NL50 is pretty much a big joke, with tons of fish at just about any table. NL100 has more regulars, but when you get 3-bet it's almost always a monster. When you get 4-bet it's KK or AA. Predictability without end. Even at NL200, barely anyone 4-bets you light. I lost quite a few stacks with 5-bet bluffs before I realized that these folks will always call, and will always have KK or AA. |
