Is it an advantage to be at a freeroll omaha hi/lo where every bet is maxed at the beginning of the tourny. The answer for me is yes. Ofcourse there is going to be tournies where you go out early. I have found that if I tighten up early and only play good hi/lo combo drawing cards, I need only hit a few early hands, to continue deep into the tourny. once the blinds reach the 100-200 structure most of the constant raisers have been put out and it settles into playing correctly. Then it is a matter of playing only premium draws to get to the award structure. I have seen many players including myself fall into seeing the flop every hand,
odds are that your chip stack will steadily dwindle until your put out. The key for me is keeping patience and discipline as my watch words as the blind structure increases. Omaha is a game where most hands aren't locks until the river except perfect lo which can't be snapped off
