Odds Quiz

Here is a quiz on the odds of you winning the hand (I will exclude bets so there is no determination if a call is warrented). This is just a test to see how good you are at knowing your odds of winning a hand, not outs. You have the magic program that lets you see your opponents hand so now all you need to do is know when to make a call and what your odds to win are. Assume no one else will enter the hand after you act.

Yes, that would probably be best.

This is the area of my game where I fall drastically short. What exactly is the formula for determining odds? I have no idea. If I had a formula to work with, I might be able to figure this out!

Not sure of the formula, but we have a link to one in the hand analysis section or just follow this link:

I think the only way to really get better at this is through practice and experience. I will work on some new ones and post Part 2 in a week when I can find 5-8 that will test our knowledge and skill.

P.S. looking at it now one of the answers is wrong anyway, guess I can't read my own scratch pad.

I missed 1-4 and got 5 & 6 correct Back to the poker tables for me

Looking at your answers, it appears that i missed 3 out of 6. But I seem to have been in the ballpark. Oh well.
