| odds, probability of hitting pair on flop ) Hi, i'm new to poker and i was just curious to know the odds of making a pair on the flop. ahh Go easy on the new guy ) Any information would be really appreciated; i should really search for it. But, what the odds say - if i have K, 5 of me hitting my high card K on the flop - even any of my non-paired cards preflop - espeically my high card though. At an estimate, would it be around a 16% chance of me hitting TOP unpaired card? If anyone's got info on this it would great. Even info of number of players in the pot and chances of them- hitting their high card etc thats probably more essential. It gives me a good idea when to bluff -) Cheers. I know u have to take other stuff into consideration, but this would be really helpful - i'm unsure of my math atm. |

| According to a blurb in card player mag, you have a 32% chance of pairing any two cards on the flop, so pairing the K would be 16%. Other players have those exact same odds. Considering that so many players will open with any Ace, one needs to be aware. |
