NPR Story Anyone hear this on NPR today? My wife told me about it and we found the link so I could listen to it. http://www.hereandnow.org/2009/10/rundown-108/#2 She also has some friends whose husbands play in home games. Their attitude is that home games are OK but playing online is addicting and dangerous. LOL at that.

Good gracious that story had such an overly feminine tone (even for NPR) that I think I grew a boob as I listened to it. No offense ladies. Open communication... Separate from mother... I just want to talk... When you child is good at something he loves... When your son wants and needs somebody to talk to... Hold a puppy instead... interaction with living things (seriously -its in there) But that aside, there is a MIX of truth and ignorance in this story. The internet and poker can both be amazingly addictive. But it is kinda funny to also hear people who know almost nothing about the game discuss it. Especially the poker = gambling same as all other gambling argument. Last edited by cAPSLOCK : 9th October 2009 at 10:50 AM.

re: NPR Story poker I've always been a person who liked to stay up late -- even before poker. I wonder if I need an intervention. And I've always liked puppies -- does that stop me? oliverpoker.jpg (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23797&d=1255079847) Next week's story -- Pet Abuse: Owners Who Make Their Dogs Play Poker Last edited by RogueRivered : 9th October 2009 at 11:18 AM.
