| November Niner wins a big one James Akenhead has just won the Poker Million in London, it tops off a year in which he made final tables in both the WSOP & WSOPE this after coming second in a bracelet event the year before. Beating Juha Helppi in a short heads up ends the year off nicely for him and takes his tourney winnings to over $2m http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=52296 Starting stacks >>>> Luke Schwartz 397k - aggressive young Brit - watch out for him James Akenhead 338k Taylor Caby 202k Dag Martin Mikkelsen 160k Peter Vasiliou 154k Juha Helppi 149k and an online qualifier @ 100k |

| Yeah Akenhead is inspired atm. Amazing 12 months or so for him. Now the hardest part will be trying to live upto to his reputation next year. Really disappointed Ladbrokes decided not to carry on their sponsorship of the event. Full Tilt didn't live up to Ladbrokes in terms of glitz and prizemoney. FT managed to bring in more big time pros from the States which improved the player pool somewhat but they failed at everything else imo. |
