November Goals.

October was terrible for me and i failed all my goals.
Hopefully this wont happen in November, my BR has stayed around the $300 for way too long now and I'm getting bored.

1) Get BR up to $550. < Shouldn't be to hard, as long as i don't run like s**t.
2) Play at least 500 hands of NLHE and 200 hands of PLO a day. < Pretty easy
3) Learn to win at $5 sng's and show a profit. < Not sure about that, i don't play sng's much.
4) Ft a cardschat freeroll. < Its possible.
5) Don't move up up to $1/$2NL to chase losses. < I swear I'm not gonna do that anymore.
6) Play more horse. < Easy.

I have quite alot of goals, but most of them shouldn't be to hard. Ill be happy if i can get 4 of them.

Gl at the tables all.

1. Perfect the ten chip shuffle.
2. Play at least one hour a day
3. Determine two strategies in which I would like to specialize.

That will have to do for now.

Sorry to hear that your October goals failed. I didn't do so hot with my goals either. worked on them some, but spent way too much time on line.

Next i had AJ flop came TQK, allin again vs QQ and obv the board paired on river.

My Nov. goals are:
1. Continue my stat keeping that I started in Oct.
2. Win more $$ in Nov. than I did in Oct.
3. Play smarter when playing live tables.
4. Get enough of a bankroll on PS to be able to play most of the CCOP events.

These goals should be achieveable if I stick to my gameplan. I also need to learn a different strategy or 2 for when the table dictates it.

- Have month off (Bask in recent wins that have transformed bankroll)
- Read, read, read
- Spend $5K of bankroll winnings on goods of substance.
- Formulate 2008 Goals.
- Formulate plan to acheive 2008 goals

This year I have jumped around too much. I have played differing limits, tried small periods of cash only, small periods of tnys only. I want to have a plan for 2008 that says "acheive this by playing this". I also want to build a database with say 100000 hand in it all playing the same system eg. 200 NL on pokerstars or similar.

Well look on the bright side, it's not November yet, so your November could be where you meet all your goals . But good luck, here are mine:

1. money in a big MTT (500+ people)
2. Continue to show a profit of ~$6/hour 4-tabling $0.05/$0.10
3. Grow my BR from $300 to $500 by the time I go home for thanksgiving (thus giving me the BR required to play $0.10/$0.25).
4. At 3 weeks until thanksgiving (21 days), I need to average under $10/day, thus my goal is to average at least 2 hours of play per day

Other than #1, these are all extremely managable, and I've been playing in some pokerstars tourneys recently, $11 buy-in, (2437 people, top 360 paid in last night's) that I'm convinced I can get a hand one of these tournaments and finish at least in the money, hopefully better than simply doubling my money (top 3 tables pay $100+).

#3 and #1 contradict each other. If you're going for winning a large pot with 27o, you'll most likely throw away more than $10 in your quest to win $10. While this may be a fun exercise, it's not good unless you're just having fun and realize that you'll be throwing away money but if you can achieve it that it'll make for a good story later.

And #5 is good. Whenever I've lost a lot I have the urge to play in a HU match to make up what I lost. I went so far as to register in a $100 one (BR was less than $200), although I got my head together and unregistered before anyone else joined. HU may seem like easy money, but there's a lot more luck involved in HU (although in the long run better players will still win, it's just that the long run is a lot longer because of the huge amount of variance involved in HU). If you've been known to chase losses, avoid HU at all costs. Because when you lose at $5 you'll try the $10, when you lose at $10 you'll try $20, and pretty soon you're in deep sh**.

1-Continue to show a profit from playing online (don't care how much profit, so long as it's profit).
2-Finish in the money in a multi-table tourney with more than 45 entrants.
3-Not fight with boyfriend about poker

Spend time with kids, cuz the wife is on my ASS
Make up all my losses from last month, and then Cash it out, that way i'm even
Make a profit, excluding the one i've made for making up my losses, because that's just not a profit in my eyes, that money was mine to begin with, lol.
Don't play no cash games, live or online.
Play less, except for tourneys
Play bigger buyin Mtts, and tourneys
Figure out a happy medium in my poker game, and stick to it
Don't bluff and then show the bluff, lol.

  1. Buy and read "Zen and the Art of Poker" to help me eliminate some of the emotionalism from my game
  2. Play in at least 10 SNGs or small MTTs, cause my tourney game is struggling and I really need to work on it
  3. Rebuild my BR cause October has been devastating

1. Play ~5000 hands for the month.
2. Concentrate on value betting better.
3. Avoid playing passively when tired.
4. Add another table, currently two tabling.

4 will help to increase 1 in the long run.
