Nothing but streak after streak!

It's gotten kind of bizarre really. I play mainly $10 SnG Single-table tournaments, and I've noticed that I seem to be a slave to playing in streaks.

There will be times where I seem almost unbeatable. I get great hands and catch flops and even catch an undeserved lucky break every now and then (and here I thought only other players could do that). I'll often finish in the top 3 (the paying ranks) around 6 times in a row on these streaks, have even gotten 1st in 4 out of 5.

Then the cards will turn to complete crap, I'll get donked out and rivered to ungodly extremes, and I'll place in the money maybe once in six or seven attempts.

Rinse and repeat. I sincerely believe it's not a case of tilt or anything. I've conditioned myself to rarely make a play that I later think was influenced by my mood or whichever streak, hot or cold, I happen to be on.

Do you guys experience this as well? I mean, I'm waiting for some sort of balance or consistency. Is it normal for poker to just be one long streak after another?

it happens to me too. but lasts longer on some sites than others. if its really damaging your game. build a bankroll on a few other sites and switch which site you play on when a bad streak starts to appear. thats what i've done to beat the problem and it works!

make sure its different software though! by the time you get back to your original site, it should be fine!

Yeah, it happens everywhere. I find it happens frequently in home games as well. When the luck isn't going your way, take the rest of the day off - why lose any more money to see if you can break the streak??

Streaks happen in everything. You just have to hope that you win enough in your winning streaks to cover your losses in your losing streaks. This goes along with bankroll management.
