No more poker at work!

Hey guys,

They had a meeting at my work today about internet gambling at work. They are banning it. I'm kind of bummed about it that I cant play poker anymore at lunch or at my breaks. I deleted all my poker sites of my computer already. Still have them at home though. I will be able to post on here still though at wok, so thats good. Well, do you guys have any other good sites for reading about improving my poker skills? I now have nothing else to do but, be on here and search around for other stuff. Is there anywhere to read some of the well known poker books?

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

How about poker video games? If they won't let you play on your computer on break, get a handheld or one that hooks up to the TV they might have in the breakroom. Or even get a cheap laptop and play out in your car or on the bench outside. Or even go to Starbuck's at lunch and use the wireless network with a laptop to play the real thing again.

I could go on & on.

Try www.pokerprosvsearth.com it is no replacement for this site, but it may help you get your poker fix.

I had trouble believing that your company allowed you to play before. I don't think you can blame them for banning poker at work.

How about actually working then? J.k. Sammy, I'm actually surprised they would let you play online at work at all in the first place. Sorry you had to quit the lunch games. How about just playing the arcade here at CC? Give Alon a run for his money.

Depends on what you consider "cheap". I see them in the color newspaper ads around $399-$699 after rebate. If you go eBay, make sure the laptop isn't obsolete (and has a wireless card for going online, if needed). Also, make sure the seller has great & extensive feedback. Good luck!

Yup...

I make 1 shameless plug every 200 posts, forgive me. Anyways cardschatters can plug cardschat there too, so its all good. Mr. McEvoy, and Mark Gregorich write for Cardplayer. BTW Mark made a nice little pay day at Tunica, congratulations Mark!
