| Was it similar to the U.S. ban that blocked money transfers to and from the sites? Or is there some sort of ban that makes it illegal for citizens to play completely? I guess either way, it sucks. Our condolences and prayers go out to you Michael. BTW, how's the loophole hunt going? |

| Some locally based sites are trying to find loopholes-but which citizen wants to be fined up to R10,000,000 or ten years jail to see if government is serious. Not me. Im hoping for something magical to happen. And I have quite a few dollars on Tilt. Some people have already written that the banks are refusing to accept the cash from any site including Full Tilt for fear of government charging them 10Mill. Effing sucks. |

Do you deal with any international banks? Are you even able (legally) to log into Full Tilt? Howabout e-wallet accounts like Net-Teller, or Moneybookers? |
|

| If you use an e-wallet so you didn't have any direct transactions between a poker site and a bank, how the hell would the government know what you were doing on the internet? |

| That does stink. I guess there's not much you can do at this point. You might email FT support and ask what your withdrawal options are. Since it is your money they may have some ideas on how to get it out. As mentioned, an e-wallet service like Neteller that supports SA may be your best bet. Quote:

| I wrote to Full Tilt and asked for some help concerning my cash. No response yet, but I will probably have to create an e-wallet service to get my cash out. And if that doesnt work-I will ask a family member from UK to create an account and I will transfer them my cash or something. My prayer: Dear Lord please wake me up from this horrible nightmare because I really really need to play some poker! BTW thanks for your interest and recommendations folks. I appreciate it. |

| Let's not forget that we have states in the US that are nearly as bad. Washington state, for example. Last I heard, it was a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $50,000 (or is it $500,000?) fine to play any online gambling game. Of course it's a lot easier to just move to another state than another country, if poker is that important to you (I believe it would be to me). |

| That sucks. Politicians suffer from rectal-cranial inversions all over the world. I have a friend from South Africa who plays Limit Holdem for a living, so he's moving to Mauritius now. Leaving home would suck (particularly with a newborn), but from the pictures it looks beautiful there. |

| Latest update from Piggs: As you are aware we lost our application in the Pretoria High Court regarding the legality of South Africans playing on our Swaziland licensed internet casino which has serious implications for South African players. We are in the process of applying for leave to appeal the judgement and felt that we could continue operating in the interim. We have since been advised that we should stop operating for South African players until the matter has been resolved. In your interests we have taken a decision to stop operating from midnight Saturday August 28 until application for leave to appeal has been heard and decided upon. All remaining player balances, will be held safely at Piggs Peak Casino Swaziland. You can cash in any balance by e-mailing ***** and your request will be processed. Yours Sincerely, |
