| New Challenge - 20$ - 20,000$ Hello everyone again, You might be familiar with my last attempt at something like this in this thread here --8$ Into 10,000$ - Challenge. Well since the site has been malfunctioning for me for some time and I couldn't find out the problem I have decided to retry at another site. I feel both older and wiser from my first attempt and I am going to a bigger site. I am now playing at Full Tilt Poker where this is more games for me to go at. Hopefully it pays off. I have also revised my rules a bit as you can now see; 1. Site of Play - I will be playing all games at Full Tilt Poker. This challenge was meant to be for a larger site and this will give me access to as many games as I need. My alias for those that want to follow is "LordNicon" 2. Types of Poker - I will only be playing NLHE, PLHE and PLO poker. This will keep my focus as too many types of poker can hinder you. 3. Types of Games - Almost 95% of the time I will be playing cash games. The only exceptions I will make are special money added MTT such as Mini-FTOPS and other promotional runs of that sort. 4. Promotions - Any promotions Full Tilt Poker runs during my challenge period will still be added to my running tally of money. 5. Bankroll Management - My bankroll management will be as follows. For NLHE and PLHE I will need 20 maximum buy-ins per level. For PLO I will need 30 maximum buy-ins per level. I will always buy-in with the maximum. 6. Time of Play - I will try to run 4 simultaneous tables for an average of 3 hours a day for the duration of the challenge period. In the event that I do not run them for 3 hours on average in a week the time will be made up the first day of the next week (monday). 7. Blogging - Bloggin will take place on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Usually on the following day between 3am - 11am est. 8. Time Frame, Conditions and Prizes - I am still trying to get this done faster then ever before so I still set a lofty goal for myself. 6 months to get from 20$ - 20,000$. If I successfully complete my challenge then I will be donating 1,000$ to charity and 1,000$ in forum prizes for the forums i blog on. Prizes are subject to change. And that is my challenge. If you have any thoughts or ideas I would love to hear them. I will be blogging my play and adventures on all forums (including this one) and sharing the things I learn as I go along. Good Luck on the felt, Tyler "LordNicon" Horspool P.S. If you want to follow my play my screen name is LordNicon |

| Sunday Blog - Day 2 Well it wasn't a great start like my last challenge but I am not discouraged. I believe that the downswing will end soon and I will be on my way up. I logged 6 hours (3 hour average) of poker in two days and plan on doing another 3 hours of poker today. Thank you for the support and inquiry as always. I am aware I have set a lofty goal for myself once again. I am expecting the Mini-FTOPS to have at least one big win it for me to have enough to fast forward this challenge. Anywho, here are my stats. Expect a graph after week 1 is over. | Sunday Blog - Day 2 Summary and Big Hand: Well to start off I have to say I didn't get my hand histories in order til day 2. I had a huge 8$ pot come about 3 hands into my first session which was amazing but I don't have the hand history so I will have to go with the biggest one from day 2. Anywho, day 1 was a good starting point. It didn't go the way I planned as a lot of my sets were falling to wrap draws and crazy flush draws and such. One of which included a monster 4-way 8$ pot in which I had the lead with a set but was outdrawn by a one card to go wrap draw. Day 2 started off good with my PLO session going as planned, not much to say about that but when I switched over to NLHE things went awry and I had to slow myself down when reaching tilt. I was down about 10$ at one point but was able to fight my way back which turned out alright compared to where it could have gone. Hopefully, better waters are in my future. Hand Histories: No PLO hand today Biggest NLHE Hand This is just a loose fish calling down all this bet for nothing. As you can see nothing really special to see here. Just for info this happened at table 3 close to the end of my last session. A: Yes, also I will be the next Chris Ferguson :-) Q: Are you doing this just for kicks and will have other bigger cash games going on a different account? A: Just for kicks. I might dabble in some bigger stuff but I will be devoting most of my time to this. Q: are you taking action for this? A: No, it will distract me no doubt. Q: I missed the end of the $8-$10,000 challange in 2 months, what where the final totals in that challange? How much winner? A: I have a link to my other blog in the original post :-) Q: Hey Kowboy, I'm on FT right now and just came to see how you were doin but see that you're sitting out at all your tables? Did i just miss your session? A: You either just missed my session or i was taking a small break. If you see me sitting out but not leaving immediate that means its probably a bathroom break or a small lunch break (less then 5 minutes). If I leave its a larger break. Q: Btw, LordNicon? A: Yes, from the movie hackers. I actually still love that movie but I wish I could have chosen a different nick. CowboySquirrel is my favorite handle because everyone gets the image of a small squirrel with chaps riding a chipmunk or something. Screenshot - ![]() |

| Hi kowboy, Im trying to figure out why you quit a $8 into $10,000 challange to go for $20 into $20,000.I see you changed sites but you made a harder challange when you didnt even come close to the 1st one.No disrespect meant,I am just trying to figure out what went into your thinking. Is there something I am missing? I followed your last one and will follow this one,I hope you see it through before creating more challanges.Best of luck to you! |

| Wednesday Update - Day 5 I gotta admit I have other things to do these past couple of days and have fallen behind in my poker playing. I have also fallen behind in my bankroll though I am making a comeback. I have gotten the hang of the .01/.02 level and have a feeling I am about ot make a surge. I curently sit below where I started which is by no means good but I have a starting point and all good things take time. I am hoping to get some major hours in on Friday to acount for the ones I have missed. Damn Online games! | Friday Blog - Day 7 Sorry for not getting back on part two of my last blog. We are going to have to live without it. One week under my belt and not as much as I wanted or needed to show for it. I'm still pretty behind schedule (If not more behind schedule) and I need to use Saturday and Sunday to catch up if I don't want to play all day Monday. Overall, the last two days were good and right where I needed to be. This is in part to a 7.75$ bonus promotion I unlocked. There is always like ten things going on a Full Tilt that you can bank in on. Overall, I only played 3 hours and 26 minutes which puts me another 2 and a half hours behind where I need to be time wise. I either need to increase the time I play or the amount of tables. We shall see the next couple days. I plan to start playing mini-FTOPS satellites when I get the bankroll (hopefully soon. If I win won of these satellites I can get into a much bigger tournament which will allow me to make a big tournament win and get much closer to my goal. Anywho here is the session log... Session Log Day 6 - Thursday April 23rd No Poker Today Day 7 - Friday April 24th Start Time: 12:32pm End Time: 2:02pm Game: Pot-Limit Holdem Tables: 4 Profit: +7.84$ Tally: 33.17$ (Bonus Kicked in before this game) Start Time: 10:35pm End Time: 12:00am Game: Pot-Limit Omaha Tables: 4 Profit: +2.14$ Tally: 35.31$ |

| Friday Blog - Part 2 Summary of Big Hands: I only played Friday but Friday's sessions kicked off with Pot-Limit Holdem and almost all of the big action took place at the same table (The Razon table). The first big hand came about half an hour into my session and it was a big cooler for the guy it was against. I bet every step of the way to a 3.28$ pot where my set of fives were big favorites on the flop and were out turned with his pair of aces turning into a set. Finally I out rivered him and hit the case five taking down 3.28$ and the big pot. The only other big hand (Above 2.50$) of the night for me was the biggest PLHE hand of the night easily that I saw and that I have won yet. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. Full Tilt Poker Game #11852675027: Table Razon (6 max) - $0.01/$0.02 - Pot Limit Hold'em - 16:59:39 ET - 2009/04/24 Seat 1: Zbroxzdrigan ($2), is sitting out Seat 2: B Razor Charles ($0), is sitting out Seat 4: Kakashi Sensei2 ($6.13) Seat 6: LordNicon ($4.55) Kakashi Sensei2 posts the small blind of $0.01 LordNicon posts the big blind of $0.02 The button is in seat #4 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to LordNicon [5d Ah] B Razor Charles adds $0.40 Kakashi Sensei2 raises to $0.06 B Razor Charles has returned LordNicon calls $0.04 *** FLOP *** [5c 5s Tc] LordNicon checks Kakashi Sensei2 bets $0.06 LordNicon calls $0.06 *** TURN *** [5c 5s Tc] J♥ LordNicon checks Kakashi Sensei2 bets $0.10 LordNicon raises to $0.20 Kakashi Sensei2 raises to $0.78 LordNicon calls $0.58 *** RIVER *** [5c 5s Tc Jh] A♠ LordNicon checks Kakashi Sensei2 bets $1.80 LordNicon raises to $3.65, and is all in Kakashi Sensei2 calls $1.85 *** SHOW DOWN *** LordNicon shows [5d Ah] a full house, Fives full of Aces Kakashi Sensei2 mucks LordNicon wins the pot ($8.60) with a full house, Fives full of Aces *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $9.10 | Rake $0.50 Board: [5c 5s Tc Jh As] Seat 1: Zbroxzdrigan is sitting out Seat 2: B Razor Charles is sitting out Seat 4: Kakashi Sensei2 (small blind) mucked [Kh Ks] - two pair, Kings and Fives Seat 6: LordNicon (big blind) showed [5d Ah] and won ($8.60) with a full house, Fives full of Aces We then moved to Pot Limit Omaha which was fun times. Just as many big hands (3.00$ for Pot Limit Omaha) and they both came late. The first hand saw my set go down to a rivered flush and lost a hefty 5.41$. I'd rather show the 5.11$ pot that I won on this beauty of a hand which also turned out to be one of the last of my session. A: Yes but everyone starts somewhere and I am starting here. It's not like everyone just wins or deposits 100$ into their account. Some do it the old fashioned way and start with less then they need and still work their way up. That's why I plan to emulate. Q: Why did you quit your last challenge and start a harder one? A: The last site i was playing on couldn't be accessed by computers in my area for some reason (I still haven't been able to access it). I felt wiser and more prepared so I made the challenge a bit different. I don't believe it is too much harder though. Q: How did you rake up so many FT points in so little time? A: All FT points came from me playing during happy hours. I tend to be online during peak hours so I get double the points. Also there was a promotion right when i started that I got double points for playing multiple tables which quadrupled my points. ![]() |

| re: New Challenge - 20$ - 20,000$ poker It seemed every time I would start a sessions with the intention of doing a long session I would have something come up. It was unfortunate that I didn't get my week done like I wanted because now I will have to double dose my poker for next week with a midterm coming. The good news though is my cousin had a baby girl and she is ok. Congrats to her and shout out to little baby Gracie. Anywho, on to business. It was a no poker Saturday and a filled with poker Sunday (to an extent). I wish I could have logged more hours but I didn't and I will be making those up mostly on Monday and most of next week. I promise there will be a graph of my progress next blog and without further ado here is my session log.
