Never surrender!

A while back I found a great offer for Titan poker and deposited $100 to get $50 free upfront - I played a lot of $0.10/ 0.20 PL Omaha over a few months and gradually increased my balance to $220..nice!

Then last weekend I played a lot and sufferred beat after beat on the river with all my cash in the pot- lost 8 buyins ($7) and was slightly on tilt..

So what do I do? I figure move up stakes to $0.20/0.50 to make it back- another couple of beats later I had lost another $30, so wasnt very happy- went up to $0.50/$1 with $50 and was up to $64..

big hand - I had 8,9,10,J- flop comes 8s,10s,2h - so I raise pot- 1 caller and turn comes Jd- I raise pot and get reraised- think about it and then go allin, putting an extra $40 into a $44 pot

anyway the dude calls with a Qhigh flush draw and hits the flush on river!!

so bankroll down to $35 or so- got it back up to $60 during the week playing more $0.10/$0.20 omaha, then yesterday had another day of nightmares- 6 times was beaten on the river and bankroll down to $6.

The only upside was I had a lot of titan points! (around 2k)

So luckily there was a Private 1.5k points NL $15k freeroll- figure gotta be worth a shot-

Just finished 4th/490 players for $900!!! (in 2nd but all 4 players left about equal- went allin with A8 and chip leader called 90% of stack with 33- no luck on flop otherwise it shouldve been $3.5k - not that I can complain!)

Anyways this is my biggest win by some distance and I'm over the moon- for those who are playing well, but losing and it feels like banging your head against the wall- never give up!!

(might stop playing pl omaha though....)

I swear I thought in your thread that you were going to have a reference to the Spartans. On a real note though congrats and straight up don't move higher limits until ready to deal with the swings that come along with them also.

Way to turn around that tilt by throwing in a multi-T. Moving up in stakes always seems to burn my tilt even worse. I'll just turn off puter when i'm hitting a bad run of cards or getting crushing beats. Or like you did and enter a couple multi's to cool off. Seems to work everytime. : D

Stupidly went back to pl omaha tables and lost $10 last night (allin with nuts set on turn to be called by flush draw on river (again!))

I will not play omaha ever again.....(until tomorrow...)

(need to earn another 1.5k points for the June tournament!)

Very nice win, but please practice BRM in the future or you will lose all of your hard earned winnings. If you start losing, moving up stakes is not the answer.

Have to agree with 'never surrender'. Been there, done that. I always find it amazing when a player in an MTT loses ~80% of their stack and goes to sitting out until they blind out.

I've been low and made comebacks. The right cards and the right plays, and you're right back in the hunt. Won't happen every time, but the old 'chip and a chair' can hold true many times.

Congrats!! Omaha loves to tease you and there's always players who'll stay till the river. Good job with the win but don't just run to the big money tables, thinking it's easy now, only to lose it all.

Nice work... Kleitches is right though... what you described (before the big hit) is the way folks lose their houses on a Vegas weekend trip.

You got that right OP, never give up! That's a great story and inspires me a little bit. What a great $900 finish. Very impressive. Maybe my luck will change like yours did. At least I hope so. But the biggest lesson here is to never give up!
