Need Your Opinion on Party Poker

Hi - Wow, I went over to Party Poker and played 5 sit and goes and didn't win but 1 hand in 5 tables and that was an A high flush. I've noticed a couple things. The cards are garbage, and the players bet very strangely and play the same way too.

Can anyone give me their opinion and/or experiences about Party Poker? Is it just me???

I think I'll stay at Poker Stars and Paradise. Those players are more like me I guess or something. TIA -- LOL

P.S. The reason I started playing there is because I wanted to try the Party Poker Million V Cruise - but now I'm not sure.

PartyParty Poker is probably the best known online poker room. Use the Party Poker bonus code CC150 for a 30% upto $150 deposit bonus.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

Who wrote that? I don't agree with a lot of it. I do agree that there are lots of novices at play and who play terribly, and there's high traffic. I'd wouldn't give it a 9/10 really for anyone who has played for a time.

Any other opinions?

Party poker is the best site on the net for cash tables.

Thats down to the sheer traffic and number of bad players.

The sit and go structure could be better but I have made money playing them, just a case of waiting your way into the money most of the time.

The best comes from the cash tables though, they are a gold mine. TV made tournaments glamorous but at the heart of it most the low buy in ones are a crapshoot anyway and you need luck to get anywhere to win not a lot either.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like the site. I don't like playing with newbies and taking their money. That might be a "girl" think tho. Thanks for the opinions.

Cost of teaching newbies how to play poker?.....priceless!
Seriously though, everybody has got to start somewhere. By playing against better players, they get to learn....you get to cash.

Sounds like you just caught a run of bad cards....happens everywhere.

Also like any big site, table selection is important.

For me, I love it there.

Who said they are newbies, they might well be playing for the fun of playing.

Besides if they are newbies they should be playing on lower tables. Anyone playing on the tables I am playing on should know their money is at risk.

The other thing is, what makes the players at party poker new compared to anyone playing at another site, bottom line with that is, you just don't know. Basing an opinion on a site that you may be taking money off new players, doesn't really hold water.

For the record I lost $300 on there last night, stud8 does my head in at times ;]

What i feel is very annoying about party poker is the delay in showing how many people are playing on a table, so you try to connect but table's full.

I don't like Party Poker also.
But that was where I made money from no investment.
Then I moved all money into other sites. lol
Partypoker has best way to check raked hands; I can check my raked hands on the web updated every second.
However, they do not have good freeroll structure, and Partypoker is the only site that asked me to fax my ID when I tried to withdraw money from it.
I won't go back there unless they give me free money to play.

I'm glad Grumble has enjoyed great success at Party Poker. I tried it for a couple of months when I first started playing online and gave up in disgust. I just never knew how to play my hand there. If I played tight, I got sucked out on. If I played loose, I got tagged by better hands. I mean, I was just never able to get a handle on what was going on at the tables and finally just ran for my life. Haven't missed it one little bit. Maybe I should give it another try with 18 months of further experience under my belt. Hey, I love shooting fish in a barrel as much as anybody!!

What tables do you play on Party, Grum? (Or is that like asking a hunter where he bagged that 12-pointer? Fat chance!!)

Party sucks, As far as I see its not new players its HOUSE PLAYERS that run the pots up and get lucky. With the numbers of overall players or what ever it is the last 3 weeks I have seen the tables with 3 or 4 big hands 8 of 10 times ie 4 guys in 2 flushs 2fullhouses. now have seen as of last night 2 4kind and a full house. For me I am sick of being beat by the crap play or players that seem the the number of hands you play just getting worse. Nothing like playing AK suited to be beat by 49 off suite So on and So on

Hi - Wow, lots of new posts ... and some that aren't thrilled with Party Poker like me. I thought I was being too judgemental.

I too had a really hard time getting on a table, and yes - the lists are not accurate. I had to play tag with the NL tables on the list to even get a chance at playing and always missed the table by one. Then when I did get on ....

RAMMER ! - I had the same exact experience as you and got disgusted too!!! I'm so glad you wrote that you had a hard time playing there. I thought is was me.

I will stay with the sites I enjoy for the software and players. I guess you stay where you feel you win the most and/or enjoy playing -- and that for me is Poker Stars and Paradise.

I must be a house player then Seriously though you just have to adjust to the games I know I used to bitch about the suck outs as well... Search the forum and I'm sure you will see my fire breatheing posts about Party.... The simple fact is the place is a virtual GOLDMINE! You might lose a few pots but your moster hands ALWAYS get paid off! Newbies that like action will like Party, newbies that have a tendency to break keybords(errr ummm that best buy insurance thing sure is cool ) will not like Party you will have some serious swings on the NL tables..... Should I give out the secret to coming out ahead on the 25-50NL/PL tables at Party? hmmmm
