Need some Limit Help

My hubby won a bad beat Jackpot last night at out local Indian casino and wants to take me back for Ladies Night.
They have a ladies only limit tourney that I have played in once before and didn't do too awful bad in. (placed like 23 or 24 out 140 something women) I'm a bit stronger in the No Limit department since that's what I learned first. I do okay at the ring games on limit. I think out of the four or five times I have played live I made a profit 3 of those times. Any suggestions besides patience? It Would be so helpful. Thanks!

Only cap the betting with premium starting hands, ak, aq, aa kk. I've seen people bluff way more while playing limit instead of no limit. And most of all, win!

I wouldn't bother bluffing unless you are in position and you think they will fold it.

Any doubt then check/fold.

When you have good cards, pre or post flop then just keep betting it. I wouldn't bother worrying about slowplaying, you just tend to lose bets in the long run.

I have another question to this thread.

In the last time I played this tournament, One hand stood out for me because I would have won it(pretty good size pot also) if I had stayed in for the flop. I had K8 suited in mid late to late position (can't remember) with probably 3 or maybe 4 others in the pot. No preflop raise. I folded this hand and would have caught a set on the flop and would have won it. What hands in mid late to late postion would you consider calling in a Limit tourney like this?

Woulda, coulda, shoulda! If you think you made the right decision to fold, subsequant cards are irrelevant. Re cards to call, what cards will help you on flop? Will they help opponents more? Will a player in later position re-raise you, either forcing you to fold or commit more money than you would have liked? I suppose the obvious answer is suited connectors - if the flop doesn't hit, get out. Problem with calling with to weak a hand is if you actually hit flop, and end up with 2nd best hand.
