Need some help with spending my FPPs

Poker Player Store - VIP Store

I keep changing my mind with what I'm going to spend my FPPs on, and I'm still undecided at the moment.

Initially I was looking into buying something 'fun' like the very nice chip sets they have, or the canon rebel SLR camera, but these things will in no way give me any return, ie they'll be liabilities as opposed to assets for me. Although the things I can buy with the points will be 'free', in effect I'll be spending money on whatever I buy.

I'm now thinking about something like a straight cash bonus or a monitor (or two) to actually give me some return. A monitor would help me play more tables, thus increasing my winrate and being an asset to me.

I've been a Gold star for quite a while, borderlining on platinum as I just can't seem to squeeze enough hands in. I've got ~52k points in the bank at the moment, and can make up to .4 fpps/hand.

Just a little lost here and was wondering if anyone knows what the best value per fpp is and if you have any suggestions for what to buy...

Buy a couple a hundred of those bears with the shirts haha I'll take a look through the store later and compare prices later on. Maybe someone will beat me to it.

well the monitors look nice but if i were u, i would go with the 15K sng with one of the world champions
u have great sngs stats, u can totally pwn the table imo and it gives u the oppertunity to play with a pro that otherwise u might not have that chance
2000$ pool with top 4 getting paid, structure is -
1st-$1000
2nd-$500
3rd-$300
4th-$200
and a 250$ bounty on the pro
so with ur 52K points u can get into 3 and have 7K remain
if i was in ur position i might go with that

Hit platinum and then take advantage of the cash bonus (I think $650) at that level.

$1500 for 100,000fpps would be better. Works out at 1.5c/1fpp, concierge would be even better at a rate of 1.61c/1fpp .

You could always try the 5400fpp sats to the sunday million, pays top 4, supposedly easy money . Then trade in the T$.

If I were you, I'd do two 25,000 reward bonuses. Not both at the same time of course.

A 24" monitor isn't worth more than the $570 you could cash out in bonus cash rewards. Their monitors, at least, are over-priced. You could buy two very decent 20"+ monitors and have additional $ left over if you're able to clear both in the 90 days allowed for each one. (I'm not exactly sure how do-able it is to clear the whole amount)

I'd possibly wait till you can squeeze in enough hands to become Platinum. Then you'll get the most for your money in $ reward as long as you have time to play enough to clear everything.

Thanks for the input guys. Close to platinum for this month but I'm so busy that I'm not sure I'll be able to make it.

The gift certificates are a pretty good deal too, I am pretty sure that if you wanted to buy a monitor or a digital camera it is a better deal to get a gift certificate from an electronics store than it is to buy the item from their store.

Save for a car, imo.

You'll just be depressed if you spend them and see your balance at zero/low.

best for you after your recent stressful downswing - the stress ball

or you could name about 20 stars

Seriously, i like pantins idea, especially in a match with moneymaker, if you practice your sng game for a bit, you can definately run over a table.

Or if you do a bit of research on the electronics, your best investment may be to buy one of those, eg monitor, camera etc, then sell it on, on ebay or something, if you find something that can be sold on for more than what you get with direct fpp's for cash swap, it seems the most profitable

PokerStars has their $1,000 gift card at a USA electronics store for 62,000 FPP's. That's 1.6 cents per FPP.

PokerStars has their 24" (Samsung) monitor listed for 55,000 FPP's.
Best Buy has 24" monitors listed for between $349.99 and $549.99. The 24" Samsung is $499.99, which is less than 1 cent per FPP.

So, to me, getting a gift card seems substantially better than getting a monitor. Even when you factor in the shipping and/or sales tax the electronics store will apply.
Of course, I'm also assuming that it's Best Buy, or a similarly priced chain store.

Oh... and BB had a 28" monitor for $579.99. You with $1,000 you could get that with enough left over to buy something else that's shiny.

from what I've seen Platinum cash is the way to go. If you think you'll consistently get Platinum and don't need anything right away just save up until you hit supernova near the end of the year. But I'd just go with the Platinum cash. 1.3 cents/FPP and you could get enough cash to buy 2 24" monitors for the cost of one in the FPP store. You need 4,550 base FPPs (basically VPPs) to clear this bonus and you get 90 days. So a little under 3 months to get a little over the amount of VPPs you need just to maintain goldstar in one month. Extremely easy to clear.

Chuck, go get supernova this year.

Save them FPP's.

Get concierge service, 186,000 fpp+ go out and buy an expensive item (55' LCD++). Then fax PS the receipt PS pays you the $3,000 - then take back the T.V or whatever for a double profit. 6k!

Best way to spend them ever.
