| Names for Hold 'em hands... I was thinking back to when we used to have tournaments and heads up games in college and I was trying to remember the names that we had for all of the different hands that we made names for after really bad beats and I just wanted to hear some other peoples' creative spin on the game. These are the names that we mostly used, some are ours and some are widely known, we were a diverse group of college guys, and so some names may be offensive to some people, but they are all intended for fun, not for harm- AA-Pocket Rockets(Obviously), Spaceships, Nukes AK-Big Slick (Of course), King Arthur Q4-Hot Mustard Q3-Gay Waiter (Queen with a tre) JJ-Fishhooks, Pocket Jews/Rabbis 95-Banker's Hours (9-5), Suit and Tie, All Business 75-Dominator 69-Big Lick 45-Colt 45 44-Dirty Harry 35-Wrecking Ball That's all I can remember for now, but feel free to continue the thread and share your creativity. | I forgot all about the Brunson...does anyone but Doyle ever win with that hand? Suited or unsuited I've never come close to hitting anything with the brunson, even when I folded em. I like "snowmen" though...I'll have to incorporate that into my vocab. I like "sailboats" and "love connection" as well. Good stuff. Keep 'em comin people. |

| I'm really glad I started this post, we're gettin some great responses- "Mop Squeezers"-priceless "Matches" "German Virgin" I especially like the reasoning behind "Ladyboy" "Four Tits" is great I'm definitely gonna have to use these when I play. There's nothing better than being at a home game and dominating someone with a hand with a great name. |

Back to the point though - when I deal bar games, we entertain ourselves by naming the flops instead. A few favourites for cards on the board: 6 - the average man 10 - the better than average man 5 - the wheelchair 5d - the pimp's wheelchair 33x - small Irish forest rag-rag-rag - the Godfather 3 (a disappointing flop - alternatively, the Alien 3) |

64 =Elmo (64s Royal Elmo) AQ used to be Doyle Brunson according to his SS1 book because he never played it. T2 adopted HIM! On TV he'll always fight his own hands to push them away. I think Phil Ivey Got the AQ. He went through a horrible run with them a while back Goldog |

| Full Employment - The starting hand Jack 4. Named full employment because if you play Jack 4 you'll always have a day job. Flat Tire - Jack and Four suited or not. As in, "If you have a flat tire, it's what you use the jack "four". Also known to deflate bad player's stacks. Forking Idiot - The hold'em starting hand of Four-King (4K). |
