The name-dropping thread Who's the biggest name poker pro with whom you ever played at a table? Online or off? And how'd you do? I've been in some play money SNG's on Full Tilt in the past where one of their pros was making a (contractually obligated) appearance. But never at my table.

Played Pot Limit badugi with Doyle Brunson (TexDolly) on Doyle's Room. I jammed the pot all the way and he folded right b4 showdown. Like 6 years ago shortly after they added badugi to the games. The other players chatted that it was him. I don't really know for sure I guess. I also played Bill Laimbeer (former NBA player and WNBA coach) in some Vegas room. He got pissed and tried to throw his beer bottle through the trash can before he left.

Played in a MTT vs "POKERHO" at Ultimate Bet. He knocked me out. I'm not sure who POKERHO is though, one of their pros.

Probably about 5 years ago there was a dude at my table that looked exactly like David Wells in AC. The Trop's poker cards has your initials on and his was DW but I didnt say anything both cause that would be kinda lame and I highly doubted DW would be playing the 1/2 ha. I'm e-buds with JC Alvarado but I don't follow pros or watch on TV so I have no idea if he's known or not. He's a cool dude though, he was what I think is a web-only show called something like "High Stakes Living" where he just busted the other dudes' balls that take themselves super serious on the show.

I KO'd Adam Schoenfeld in a Step 1 on Full Tilt. http://www.cardschat.com/f46/pro-ko-ft-177905/ (http://www.cardschat.com/f46/pro-ko-ft-177905/) Wasn't big enough tournament to win anything. Other than him I don't believe I have ever played with anyone I recognized. Some local rooms with people who claimed to be someone important...but who knows.

re: The name-dropping thread poker Online? or 'live' game? Online I was on final table of Turbo Hundo with Dag Mickelson (yay, lol). Live game, all on the same table > Gavin Smith, Brad Booth, Dennis Phillips, Bryan Devonshire, Tiffany Michelles, Maria Ho & a couple others (Daniel Negreanu sat in while on a break from BCPC MainEvent, along with Lacey Jones). I took 1st place - SNG & won an all-inclusive weekend at the RiverRockCasino in Penthouse suite, along with $1200 in cash (the chip in my hand in this pic. is a $1K chip that was part of my winnings from that game!)

I sat next to Johnny Chan in an MTT once in vegas. Seemed nice, everyone knew him obv. Only played one hand with him, and he flat out told me exactly what I was holding and that I made a good fold. Avoided him after that, and he got knocked out shortly after.

I won my way into the NAPT Deepstack Main Event at the Venetian February 2010 and was sat at a table where everyone was someone I had seen on TV but I could only name two of them. Paul Wasicka was seated directly to my right and Fabrice Soulier (French poker pro) was another 3 seats down. Everyone was looking at me because I was the guy nobody knew, yet no one said a word to me, just talked quietly amongst themselves. Several people tried to engage Paul Wasicka in conversation (like me ) and he put in earbuds and ignored everyone, including the cameramen who showed up about every 20 minutes and focused on him. I tried initiating conversation with a couple of table-mates and the response was terse so I just played the game. Lots of other pros there, like Daniel Negreanu and Fossilman, as well as celebrities like Brad Garrett and Montel Williams. I lasted for the first 7 hours of play when I picked up KK. Several limpers so I raised 3bb and only Fabrice Soulier smooth called. Flop J77 rainbow. Soulier checks to me and I raise. He reraises to putting me mostly in. I am hoping he has AJ, or QQ, 10 10 etc. Just please not AA or JJ. I shove, he actually sat and thought for about a minute or so, and finally kind of shrugged and called, turning over AA. OOPS, did I read all of that wrong.

Justin Smith - "Boosted J" - and I avoided him like the plague. You don't pull on Superman's cape You don't spit into the wind You don't pull the mask off The Lone Ranger and you mess around with Boosted J It's fun watching him now sitting next to Phil Ivey (to the left) in WPT 9.

I've played a couple of hands with Huck Seed and Paul Wasicka in online MTTs before. Got sucked out on by Marco Liesy (http://www.cardschat.com/f46/sucked-out-marcoliesy-red-ftp-pro-181556/), and played some 2nl with Matt Sexton, before. I have also played an Omaha SnG with Scott Fischman and KO'd him. Ended up taking 1st in this SnG: ![]() I have not played a pro live, though.

Adam Schoenfeld turned up at my table once to my left, I told him I was going to take him out, he told me to go for it, so I robbed his blind about 3 times, then he flatted my 85s from SB, I flop the flush, he check shoves and I got a new t-shirt! Also, enjoyed a coffee with Andrew Feldman at Starbucks. Genuinely lovely guy.

Just played with Krantz at a home game. I don't remember too many hands I had with him, I know I lost one and won one, but I ended tripled up for the evening. I think I played with a Shulman or 2 at Spadeclub. One of my regular home game peeps made a final tv WPT table (keeping their privacy).
