My online poker rank for today.

So I am fortunate enough to live pretty close to poker rooms and don't have to play online poker. I recently cashed out thinking I was going to close my Pokerstars account for good, take my profits and running. Well, I left a little bit to have fun with, iv been playing low limit HORSE when there's a baseball game on or something like that to kill some time and play a little.

I really don't like online poker. Its....boring. Holdem cash games are just tight players waiting for hands on 5 or 6 tables. I haven't played seriously online in like 2 years. You can't get any reads and have to respect bets, and there is absolutely no conversation. Its just not the cash game I enjoy playin.

I was thinking of doing the normal grind I used to do, but I just won't enjoy it. I imagine its got to be worse than it was two years ago? There has to be less loose money on the hold em games because of the US laws. When do you guys play? What games do you find loose? What sites?

Anyone else find online play really really boring? After playing seriously in live games very consistantly and profitably I don't think I could ever go back to the online thing.

...Boring compared to live games? How? There is so much more action online with nearly 2-3x more hands played. And thats only 1 table. Imagine playing 6+ or more...you cant do that live.

...Maybe if they're grinding, but for the most part play is loose and aggressive. If you want a game thats not boring and/or tight, come check out the CC 2nl games. Guaranteed action.

...'Reads' online are different than live games, thats a given. You have to rely more on stats, bet patterns, what type of player your opponent is and many more levels of thinking.

...Well, if you're on a true grind, then you might find it a bit boring but thats both online and live. Live, I think its worse. Its a long, tedious grind. You cant find loose play and weak players everywhere, just hop on a table.

...Not at all.

After playing seriously in live games very consistently and profitably I don't think I could ever go back to the online thing.
...Wouldn't you rather be profitable in both live and online games? The great thing about online is not only are there so many bad players just throwing money away, you're guaranteed to always find a game, and its convenient. Im not knocking live play either, but they're both good for different reasons.

BTW, I hope I dont come off as a dick in my original post. Not my intent, just giving my opinions. If thats your choice to play live, then more power to you.
