My October

Started with 100$ on Carbon at the end of September.

After a week: 190
2 weeks: 480
As of today: 195

Quite an up and down month. Ive been playing mostly 10NL this entire time. I probably play ~1k hands a day? Hard to tell without PT3 on Carbon.

Took a couple shots at 25NL HU (terrible mistake overall) and a couple of the 33$ 3k guarantee (great overlay).

I'd like to attribute the 300$ downswing to variance, but it's really got my confidence shot, which just furthers the swing.

Any good advice on building back confidence?

Also: Should I apply for the freeroll club even though I'm only at around 75 posts?

Sounds like you are playing very high variance. probably the $33 mtt's were a mistake if you are now woried about the $ amount you have.

Yep the $33 mtt's are a maassive mistake in my book. Thats about 8-10 percent of your bankroll.

I wouldn't invest more than 2% of my br in a mtt.

My advice to you is to drop down in limits if your not feeling confident.

Play with every buy in as if it's your last, but never play with your last buy in.

I like to drop down a level after losing a good portion of my bankroll just to get my confidence back. If you continue losing while moving up maybe you should stick with your level and just build your bankroll.

...yep defo agree to drop down the 33dollars...sounds alot with such a smallbr...ive actually done the exact same....played a 14dollar tourney and 2 20 dollar hu matchs just last night...although ive oly a 60 dollar bankroll...way out of my league but got greedy

id advise you to wait until youve got to about 85-90 just ot be sure for the freerol club...cause if you dont get in, youve got to wait 30 days...im waiting tilll i get to 85-90..shouldnt be more than an hour.. :-)

dont invest more than 5% of ur br in MTT's as they thend to b crapshoots near the later stages of the tourneys. Plus its hard to make the final table of MTT's where the only decent big money is. Playin for 6hours jus to double ur buy-in isnt realy great +EV....
