My new goal regarding my bankroll
I wasn't sure what my next goal would be after i hit 2K in my BR (which has since gone down) but I think i've made a decision
![]() My best friend Che is on a trip to Thailand. He left a couple months back and comes back in february. He does this every once in a while, usually during the summer, and goes on a trip to visit his father who lives there. I was supposed to go with him a few years back but we got in some trouble and had a courtdate after our departing plane ticket was scheduled, so we ended up not going at all that year. Anyways, the amount that he saved up to go for 2 months is 3K, and that covers the 1500 plane ticket and cost of living there (which is VERY cheap, especially if i could stay with his pops like he is) I don't want to stay for 2 months, but a month or less sounds good ![]() SO my new goal is to reach 4 or 5 thousand in my bankroll, and withdraw 3000 of it by the time december or january comes along. That actually translates into more than 3000 in canadian dollars since i'm playing with USD online. I want to bring it up to 4 or 5K because i still want to have a bankroll to play with online. Wish me luck! |

good luck
shouldn't be too hard man, you seem like a very competent player. How do you feel about playing limit? One good run playing 10/20 or 15/30 and you're trip is paid for. I remember a while back I started with 2 grand on Pacific and played 10/20 until I got it up to 3500, then played 15/30 and got it up to 8k within about a month. Of course then life struck and I needed the money, havent had a poker bankroll since. The 15/30 seemed easier to me than the 10/20 if you can believe that, tons of donks, like at least twice as many as you would see in your average 3/6 or 5/10 game. Haha, this reminds me of the worst play I've ever seen anyone make in hold'em.
I was playing 15/30 at like 2:30 AM one night, and there was this guy in there, I mean, to this day I still cant come up with a reason for his actions. If it was tilt, than DAMN, I've never seen anyone tilt like this. I mean, all this guy did was raise. raise raise raise. He'd cap every street with nothing. The guy must have pissed away 3 grand in a half hour and he kept reloading a thousand at a time. So I waited him out till I caught a real monster, flopped a nut flush on him. He capped the flop, capped 4th street, capped the river, for a total of $300 (if my quick math is correct) The guy flipped over NINE HIGH. |
