My FTOPS Quest!!!!!!!

I was thinking about it for I while and finally set myself the challenge.

I currently have $0.04 in my Full Tilt Account.

I want to make that $129.00 by Feb 15, 14.00est.(FTOPS 24)

And I know it might sound stupid but if by some miracle I do make that much, then Im going to throw it all into playing that FTOPS Event.

I will keep you posted on how my bankroll is doing.

Feel free to share some information that will help me make my bankroll and then build it up.

Do u plan on doing this with free rolls, or does FT have small smll buy-ins.
just wondering on our gameplan

Their lowest stake SnG is $1.25, and they don't offer lower than $10NL, where the minimum buy in is $2. Of course 4c isn't even enough to get you onto a $2NL table, so even if Full Tilt had them it's kind of a moot point.

So freerolls, I suspect.

I have started a similar challenge on another forum which is mainly sports betting one. It's my version of the Chris Ferguson $0 to $10.000 challenge.

It's an uphill struggle to be honest but I think I will make it. The question is when? The problem is that I set out to do it faster than Chris Ferguson and it's now looking unrealistic as I am 9 months into it and to date my bank stands at only $464.10

I basically started playing freerolls and then moved up to micro buy in tournaments. Once my bank reached triple digits, I started playing satellites to finance MTTs in 20K-60K range.

I was hoping a final table would give me a huge boost but it hasn't materialised (I made some FTs but I did not play these tournaments for the challenge) and as a result I'm still grinding it out. Even if I double my bank from here I won't even be a tenth of the way there.

This is by far the most attainable goal I've read on CC within the last 14 seconds. I am sure you can get into a 2nl game and just SHOVE ATC and win. GL!

I should do that. I generally play in the freerolls for fun...never with any real goal. I take freeroll winnings to the tables and try to build it quickly...then make a withdrawal. (Usually $250 or more) But what generally happens is that I lose it quickly! lol

I do play better when goal oriented. I've won several packages to trnys...won my way into larger trnys...but have yet to cash them...sigh.

I guess i need to stop playin' for the fun and action, and start playing with some brains for da money!

its possible, its just gonna take a lot of really really gutsy bankroll management. Not being worried to risk it all and start from the beginning. I have gotten all my poker money from starting with nothing and is now about $650 bucks

I think it is great that you have set yourself a goal. I did a similar goal last year but it took several months to hit the $100 mark. I never made a deposit, I just faithfully played freerolls and built my bankroll from there. I built it clear up to $900 from nothing. I played a little stupid for a while and ended up cashing out my $400 and being just happy I walked away with something. It is a totally attainable goal but you have to be faithful about playing and super patient, not to the point where you play too conservative but definately tighten up a bit. Start small at the 9 person SNG $1.25 style once you have made the money on a freeroll of course. I tried to stick to the rule that I never played more than 5% of my bankroll at a time unless my roll was under $20. Good luck, I can't wait to hear how you do!

I have roughly the same goal. But with 8 cents - hence I am doing twice as well as you are.

Start to play freeroll and try to finish in cash and then u will be able to play in small buy-in games it will begin to be more interesting because make money in freeroll is very hard.
