My First Poker book
For my birthday I am getting: Doyle Brunson's Super System: A Course in Power Poker, 3rd Edition

You might consider Super System 2 instead. Some of the games such as 5 card draw and stud H/L in the original are obsolete and the new one is updated. The NL Hold 'em is basically the same with only slight updates by Doyle.
