| My BR and strategy Question Hey all Most of you might remember me from my 6 handed thread.. Well ive given the 6 handed the flick for the time being and it seems to be paying dividends.. I started playing the 6 handed but they were too loose.. especially the turbos.. So I stumbled across this thread:How To Consistently Beat Sit And Go's At first I thought it seemed a bit amatuerish.. while yes that is true, I thought to myself.. The opponents are.. and this 9-10 handed strategy might suit (something to play extremely tight, yet get paid off with monsters.. because they only play their own cards.. and call when they are behind, yet dont realise it) Pretty simple really. So ive been using it.. I got my BR back upto about $20 (from 80 cents lol) before I could get back to proper management, then continued to play this strategy. I am now up to $83.00 and still going well.. When I get to $100 il move onto $5 tourneys.. Where I dont think the competition will change much,a nd will still be able to use this very simple, but effective strategy. Has anyone else used this strategy? Success or Failure? I remember getting an email about it.. but thought it was spam lol.. This Roy bloke seems like a dick.. but this seems to work lol.. Comments welcome Aus Last edited by aussiecardshark : 30th December 2009 at 8:02 AM. |

I do adjust my game slightly when theres pot odds.. this strategy says for JJ min raise you should fold.. But I know pot odds and if im getting them il have a look.. Would have folded a lot of sets had it not been for knowledge of pot odds.. Basic stuff like folding KQ and AQ agaisnt a raise tho is right.. This strategy is mainly to keep you out of trouble.. and probably a good way to avoid getting donked at these low stakes |

| I don't think you should jump to the $5 SnG once you hit $100. I advise the $2-3 SnG. Players are a bit better up there and when the variance hits, you might go on tilt after losing 25% of your BR. If you are going to go ahead, make sure you have a "Dropping Point" in your BR. What I mean by that is once you hit maybe $70, you have to have discipline to drop the ego and drop the stakes. Good luck, tell me how that works out for you. |

| re: My BR and strategy Question poker Hey all.. Well ive finally hit the $100 mark Got my sharkscope graph also here, to show you the difference playing 10 seaters, along with this tight strategy has made.. On the left of the red line is when I was playing 6 seaters.. and on the right is when i converted to 10 seaters.. Such a difference! ![]() |
