| My Biggest Score (warning: brag post) Tonight I made the biggest score of my young poker career. It's not much in comparison to what some players on here have made, but it more than doubled my existing bankroll. I received slightly over $500 tonight in a 5-way deal that I made in a $5.50 MTT on PokerStars. There were 1430 entrants, and it took over 6 hours to play. I made the deal while 4th in chips, and received more than 3rd place money. When the deal was completed, and everyone was playing for fun and TLB points, I ended up winning the whole thing, which is a hug boost of confidence. Several times during this tournament I was down to below 3 BB's, and at one point I had 610 chips. I got lucky two major times along the way, but both times I got the money in with the best hand and re-sucked out . Recently I have been feeling very confident in my tournament game, and I believe that I have made many improvements in just the last few months. I had been getting slightly frustrated when I would get knocked out instead of winning a coinflip and having a big stack. Well, today, I finally won those coinflips and ended up victorious. I know I still am a LONG LONG LONG way away from being even a decent poker player, but I plan to continue to study and read up on strategy, and above all keep playing. Thanks for listening to this blatant brag post. Good luck to you all! |

| Nice win The last time (only time) i was on a final table in one of these tourneys I refused a chip deal at the heads up stage, I was dominating him at the time, so he went to all-in mode. Got AKs after he had robbed my blinds six or seven times, back to 50/50 chips and they lost......to 89o or something silly. |

If there had been no deal made, 1st place would have received ~$1,300. Like I said previously, I was in 4th chip position with 6.5 BB's in my stack, and I got more than 3rd place money in the deal, so I think I made a good decision. Quote:
