Multitabling Set Ups.

What is everyone rocking for their displays? Recently my bankroll has been growing and I'm thinking about getting a monitor for my macbook. Playing 12 tables on 13" 1280x800 is gonna make me go blind. First off, I am running boot camp and windows xp in order to run a tracker and ahk scripts. Macbook has its resolution caped at 1280x800 on the internal display. Does this also mean that 1280x800 is going to be the max resolution on the external even though the monitor is capable of bigger. Anyone have a macbook running windows and has tried this?

What monitors would you guys recommend? I am trying to get away for pretty cheap but its probably in my best interest to spend some money. I am thinking 24". Also, shoud I use fpps or just go out to the store. I am goldstar and now rolled for 100NL so platinum around the corner and fpps should be coming in at a faster pace.

Do not buy anything from the electrical Fpp store, its just so expensive. Buy a voucher if you have to and use that to purchase it.

BTW I manage on my humble lickle 17" laptop playing upto 20 tables imo

Having a bigger res would depend on your video card. Just google your exact model for specs and see what comes up. I'm sure Mr. Penguin could help more here, but I don't really see a laptop putting in a video card that's capable of better resolutions than what they give you. The addition of a second monitor for you would most probably only be for a doubled the 'area', not for bigger resolution.

And ya, don't use the fpp store for a monitor. Buy a gift card or take out real money to buy it with.

fwiw I have a laptop with only 1280x800 and it supports my 24" monitor and its 1920x1200 resolution.

With the iMac your not going to be able upgrade your graphics card because you cannot add a docking station like regular PC's. However here are the specs for an external monitor with a Mac:

14-15": 1024x768 (XGA)
17-19": 1280x1024 (SXGA)
20"+: 1600x1200 (UXGA)
19” (Widescreen): 1440x900 (WXGA+)
20” (Widescreen): 1680x1050 (WSXGA+)
24” (Widescreen): 1920x1200 (WUXGA)
30” (Widescreen): 2560x1600

i also have a query about this i just gotta new 26" tv and am playing this as an extended desktop to ma laptop but its not very clear when the table is shrunk down to fit 4/6 tables on the tv but its perfect when one table is expanded open to full size how can i make it clearer when shrunk down any ideas?

Play around with your refresh rate. Seeing how it is a laptop, it is not going to be that clear using standard VGA because your laptop's graphic card probably don't have the balls to push out a great video.... Believe me I have the same problem at work. We have a 58" Samsung 1080 Plasma TV (right now with two 32" on the side, however soon to be three 58" Samsungs beside each other) in our media room. With a beefed up laptop hooked up to them they still look like crap. You need an upscaler to make your video look as clear as it should at any given time, no matter if the windows are small or large.

so u recon i should buy an upscaler?

I would suggest it if your refresh rates won't do the trick.

You should, with the right adapter (WUXGA).
