MTT literature
ive seen a thread similiar to this one, but not exactly. i am going to start studying the game a little more in depth, and i would like a suggestion on the greatest book written for MTT strategy specifically. i know of books written about the whole game in general, but would like a reccomendation on a MTT holdem book. thanx!

I recently read "Pwerful Profits from Tournament Poker" by Victor Royer and "Tournament Poker" by Tom McEvoy. I found both to be quite helpful. I am about halfway though HoH right now.

King when i first joined here Chuck recommended i read HoH. Best advice Ive ever had. Its made a major difference to my game and thats with me still being a bit too impatient. Before it would take me ages to hit my goal ie from R40 to R60 at a table ($8 to $12) now i do it on $0.1/$0.2 tables in a couple of hours.(depending on the day Im having of course).

I wouldnt just read one book. Ive read quite a few now and yes it has helped my game.
In my opinion, the problem with focusing on one book is that youre trying to copy someone elses style instead of developing your own. |
