| Movin on up I'm sure this topic has been covered somewhere on this site but I have not found it. At what point should I move up? Move down? Should I go by the numbers, move up when I reach a certain number of BB, and move down at a certain #? Anybody have any tips on what type of strategy I should use? Any input will be greatly appreciated. |

I'm assuming you are a fairly new player so the more buy ins you have the better it is, this definitely depends on how comfortable you are though. I would suggest having like 30-40 buy ins depending on what level you are playing (I'm talking about cash games just so you know), Then once you have 40 buy ins for the next level, I would move up and take a stab at it and basically just see what it feels like. For moving down, depending on your discipline, I would move down after you lose 7-10 buy ins and still have plenty of buy ins for the lower level to build back up and come back to the level i was playing. Try searching, bank roll management, I'm sure you will find a lot of threads on that. |
