Most profitable ring games?
I am a casual player. Over the past year I have played 2/4 short handed mainly. I used to play only 1 table at a time for around a hour a day. I made an average of 5 full buy ins per month. However some months I might break around even and other be up 10 Big Buy ins.
I recently took a months break last month after losing 12 Big Buy ins. Not the biggest problem in the world, as I rolled for it, understand variance and I made a healthy profit in the year. I felt I needed a break from the game though etc. In the last few weeks after the break I have started playing again. This time I have tried the Multitabling option - but played at 0.25/0.5 short handed. This has proved very succesful and an hour of playing 4 tables I am highly likely to be up overall across the 4 tables. The daily varience of win/lose seems less than playing only one higher staked table for an hour a day. I find this very reassuring from a mental state of mind view. At 0.25/0.5 The players are very different to the 2/4 games too and I find the multitabling option comfortable as a result. My question is in the long term will you win more money multitabling the smaller tables for an hour a day or playing one higher level table for the same amount of time? Does anyone have any experience? Quick projections shows that if I carry on as now I will make a little more or about the same money multitabling at lower stakes - but it is a small sample of only a few weeks. I have the feeling that I might mix it up a bit as it requires slightly different skills playing the different levels and I think it might be that I was getting stale playing just 1 table at 2/4. ? |
