Minor Question

I was at my friends Casino Night for her work. I was doing very well but something bothered me.

I was sitting there watching the table which was 3 couples and myself. When the cards were dealt the couples looked over their hands and decided between the two hands who should play. No one else made a comment or anything so I went with it since it was not money on the line just prizes.

I also saw something like this when I was watching 'Rounders' but they were in Atlantic City or something which is where I'd think something like that is illegal.

So my question is... is it illegal? Or just bad ettiquette

The rule is if the hand is shown during play it becomes dead, i remember someone saying both the shower and the person being show's hands were dead, not too sure on that.

Definatly the shown hand is.

That's a duzzie. Do you meen two differnt hands to the couple or 1 hand that 2 ppl are watching? Either way it is horribble ettiquette.

Two different hands per couple that they both look at and decide who should fold and who should play

Thats terrible ediquette, but nothing you should make a fuss over. If it's just for prizes, you should probably just let it go because everyone sounds like they were having a good time and not being too competitive. It would be a little frustrating though.

OK I was just checking. Because it was for just prizes (I got 3rd place in money) I said screw it. But at the end of the day I was annoyed because people combined their chips to get 1 person the best 2 prizes while my date just lost me chips lol (I was doing well and she wanted to play more games so I gave her another 500 chips)

Was nothing big I could have won. But Starting at 250 chips and ending the night at 24500 wasn't bad IMO

Etiquette

That's the correct spelling - Brianna C was closest (one t too many), Crippler substituted the t with a d - otherwise correct, and Rockbuster was way off i'm afraid.

I can definitely agree that spelling is definitely NOT one of Rockbuster's strengths...... it is very fortunate for him that spelling is not a requirement for Hold 'Em!

Perhaps that is why he keeps me around..... I am often his walking dictionary.... wasn't home when he made that post, tho.....
