I usually think in terms of goals for the year as months go up and down, but I'll go for; - 25% in the money in MTTs with at least three final tables (1 already! ) - in profit in $55 SnGs - get in the top 250 on Party in the officialpokerrankings (I am vain) - play in the 300k on Sundays at Party - win it $2000+ profit for the month. - Do something useful/different with my blog or website.

re: March goals thread poker Absolutely, can't see the harm in having $ targets for the month, providing it doesn't result in chasing. I'm creeping up the buy-ins at the moment so am paying very close attention to my roll so it can't hurt.

turned out i didnt get kicked out of the apt afterall. when our lease is up at the end of march im going to decide what to do. i feel like i'm at least a mildly strong player, but i also feel like most players are deulsional as to how strong they are. this makes me wonder if i'm delusional, although i feel im pretty modest about my play, mostly. im looking to figure out an honest assessment of my skill (by the end of march) before i decide if i'm going or not.

1. Read through NL TAP. 2. Learn to apply what I'm learning in 1 to my game. 3. Play focussed sessions that are played correctly rather than riding my bankroll fluctuations. I must say I'm much better at this already but I am still a bit too stats focussed. 4. Take a few shots at 50NL.

i appreciate that. i'm pretty level headed about almost all things in life, although i know my image here doesnt quite depict it. hopefully i can have a better understanding of PT by the end of march, and then i can go through and figure out what things im weak on and can improve on. if vegas on any random day is like st louis on big tourist weekends (like mardi gras, 4th of july, etc) then i don't feel like i'd have a problem just because of the mass amount of dead money. but i'm looking for more than that to give up my options here in st louis. as many of you know, i'm midway through founding a non profit organization, and i'd have to be pretty stedfast about going to put that on hold.

That is a very self-aware assessment of your game. What kind of objective input can you get? Dr Schoonmaker (spelling?) recommends getting a good deal of objective opinions about your game to improve. Do you have mates who play or can you find guys on this forum to critique for you?
