| Marathon session and how to handle it Last night at pokerstars I played one of the $1,000,000 qualifiers. This is the one were you have 8 tables of six players and the winner of each table went to a final table with the winner going to the big bucks tourney. It was myself and another player named big olive. The first table cleared untill it was him and me at around 10pm. We then played until 1:15am in the morning till I finally took him down. During this battle all the other table winners had to wait until we finished. I have never played a more back and forth battle than I did here. By the time we finished I was so tired. I finished 5th overall. During this play I would have sworn that I was playing a bot program the way the betting was going. If I raised PF more than 1x Bb he would fold. If I called, he played on never raising more than 1 or 2x BB even with say a full house. I had to really dig deep to beat this guy. What I want to know is there a different way to play someone who is so passive in betting? This was totally new territory to me. |
