Lottery For Party Poker players ('cue the usual groans' ) :- They are doing large cash prizes for the 5 billionth hand. My current rough estimate comes in at it being 5 days 9 hours away. Worth trying to be playing at this point. I will try to keep this updated for those interested. (probably not that many as everyone seems to hate PP ) If you are on the table which gets dealt the 5 billionth hand, then prizes are :- $50,000 shared between the table if you are on a $0.5/$1 or higher $30,000 shared between the table if you are on any lower level or any tourney $2500 shared between the table if you are playing a freeroll Usual, extremely unlikey extras, like $1 million between table if the hand is a royal etc etc. (best forget about that part ) In short, If you play there anyway, then worth trying to be there then.

I used to play there but then I quit when I read all of the posts explaining how Party Poker must be rigged. Well that obviously convinced me, because they wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't true. So now I play elsewhere. Good luck in your hunt for 5 Billion. And, since Party Poker is rigged, I'm making two predictions. First, the hand will be dealt to a freeroll (for $2500) and the winning hand will be like Jack high (so ne extra bonus). You can smell the stink of conspiracy already. Anyway, good luck, bud.

Thanks JD, Right an Update :- Servers currently being upgraded (thank god as had 2 MTTs canx last night before they even started, and one canx after 2 hrs of play). Therefore I will give a more accurrate predicition when the servers are back up. For a 9 hour period yesterday (off-peak running into peak) they averaged 7198 hands per minute. My feeling is this. Normal lottery (UK) £1 a ticket, odds 14 million to 1, prize average £5 million (POOR POT ODDS lol ) The less people at a table the better. Heads-up SNGs probably only fall eligible for the 30k prize, therefore I am going to set up 10 private tables that are eligible for the 50K and only play one person on each. Hand rate likely to be around 20K a minute. With 10 tables playing quick 'check down' poker (30 secs a hand) I think the odds can be reduced to 1000/1. Therefore odds of a 1000/1 to win 50% of $50,000 (ie $25,000 each). 1000/1 is still long odds but I like the positive equity Welly

If theres 70,000 people playing at the same time theres gotta be like 7000 tables going. I think your best bet is to go to a table with 1/10 people at it when hnd 4,950,000,000 is dealt click sit down and the hand is dealt. You would get 25,000 dollars. Its unlikley but its worth a try.

re: Lottery poker Poker Stars had the same sort of thing a couple of months ago. The winner of the big money was playing on a low limit cash game if my memory serves me right.

BTW 4,950,000,000 is long since past.....it is at 4,973,000,000+ . If hand rate is at 20,000 a minute (around the time of the 5 billionth), you need to getting all your tables tables up and running in plenty of time. There will probably be alot more than 70,000 online. But how many isnt important...the main stat is hand rate. Their normal peak hand rate doesnt tend to go much above 10-12,000 hands per minute. So, my 20,000 hands per minute is to account for extra volume. Sorry adam, it probably sounds like i'm nit-picking Just making it clear for any of those interested Right, an update :- Estimated time 3 days 11 hrs away |

Well, you guys beat me. Had a couple of tables which were about 600 away. One table, I noticed from the text files, I timed out on. So only in fact had 9 active ones going. Oh well, I wont be 10-tabling for a living thats for sure, crazy sh*t See you at the 6 billionth!
