I may be the only one who thinks this but do you ever find some players reaction when they lose, particularly when a big pot is involved humorous. I know it sucks when you lose but some players go over the top so much it makes me laugh. They either scream profanities or walk out of the room screaming. I saw one player quietly and slowly stand up, walk out of the romm, and yell "I can't believe it! Damn it!" Of course I keep my laughter inside so I wouldn't add insult to injury. But, does anybody else find losing reactions hunorous or am I just disrespectful?

I've seen some funny reactions whilst playing live games, ranging from utter silence and dejection to throwing the chips around the table. The most common and humerous reaction of losers is the "its not my fault" and fervently blaming someone else response. They're my favourite!
All in the fun of poker my friend ![]() |

Actually although it may seem humorous to the onlokers, I can sympathize with the losers, especially if it is a big pot and they hadsay a str8 and got rivered by a flush and the guy lead bet or something without even a pair. I have been there and sometimes it is better to let the frustration out and get over it rather than keep it bottled up and let it eat you. Now if you are just playing for fun thats one thing, but some people are wagering their rent, especially when you get into the 5/10 tables.

j1a1m1: sadly, some players do bet the money they need for something else ... and it really is a sad situation ... I can't even enjoy my winning if I see a person that desperate
I only play if I got some spare money (money that I don't depend on) so the game is more fun than dramatic .. and hope that the players at my table do the same |

I've witness a guy lose his set of Jacks to a gut shot str8. He then took his Jacks and ripped them up and threw it at the dealer. I hate when players blame the dealers for their bad beats. They're just there for our service. But I found that pretty hilarious!!!

I have seen some losses in my time but this one just beat them all, two guys were really at each others throat through the whole game running their mouths off, when they went heads up, it was AK vs AQ and the AQ won, the guy with AK was allin and wasnt happy with his loss, the next thing i know theres a big fight! it was uncalled for but . . . . was funny i guess
also if you were wondering i didnt get any blood on my lovely white t-shirt jord |

Be honest though, how many of us have lost a hand online and shouted "f*ck off" at the computer or slammed the mouse.
I have told the girlfriend to p*ss off out shopping a few times as well if I lose a big pot She knows I dont mean it! ![]() |

Helmouth
He is the grand daddy of the reactions to losses in my opinion. I personnally do not care for him but whenever he is on the TV I always seem to watch just because I want to see his reaction when he loses when he thinks he should have won.

One of the things I like about Pokerroom.com is the fact that you can make notes on people and anytime you play them again a dot comes up and you can click on it. I mute foul mouths and sore losers. I just like to play for the challange not really in it for any big money. the thrill is in the winning for me.
I have seen so many people get upset over a couple of dollars that I begin to wonder there age....LOL. Kids getting through I suspect ![]() |

I think it is hilarious when I see Phil Helmuth lose. He freaks out and says that his opponent played wrong. Although, I do feel bad for him when he does lose. But he did just win the national heads-up chamionship.

I strongly dislike Hellmuth, mostly because of the way he whines after he loses a hand. I do sympathize my buddies if they lose a big hand in a live cash game though. When I take a bad beat I just try to keep calm and forget about it.

for that reason, i almost never chat with other players at all, except for the most perfunctory 'nh' or 'ty' and 'gl'...
i would add a corolary to sklansky's fundamental theorem of poker. lets call it BDMK's golden rule (lol): any time you get upset, you lose and and your opponents gain. and time your opponents get upset, you gain and they lose. |

Anytime you lose a big bet and get upset about you better scream for a minute and then again play your best poker. Many people just get mad at the one who beated them and start making a mistake after mistake. So if you win a big pot against someone just smile and hope he wants to avenge you this will bring even more money in your pocket
