I got my poker chips indirectly from I believe gamble.co.uk

Might help if you say where you live though to get some suggestions that might be geographically easier.

good site ... I was looking for something like this for some time ...

I also found some chips on ebay.com but most of the offers were from US, and you don't want to know how high the taxes and shipping costs are

I would also like to ask .. what kind of chips are best suited for poker?

I see beermann favoring clay ... what is there to be known about chips?

Just use normal plastic ones.. It is for home games anyway.. I would be sure your local dept store carries them. They don't need to be fancy long as they do the trick.

Ebay.

Search for "Poker Chips" you will be overwhelmed with results.

Then sort by price. You are looking for the .01 cent items. Then check out the various offers, remember not to buy from someone without at least 10 positive remarks

Oh yeah, you are looking at the 1 centers because all of them charge an even 30$ or less for S&H. The sets going for 50$ are rip offs.

Definately go to e-bay. You'll get a better deal on the same chip than anywhere else. I did many hours of research and now own 3000 chips for home tourneys.

Just beware of the shipping costs some of these guys try to charge. They make the chip prices low and the shipping/handling is outrageous.

Also, there is one merchant in particular I will warn you about. He uses the e-bay screen name of FIRQUAL. Do not deal with this prick. PayPal investigated my complaint and refunded my money, but this guy is not worth your hassle.

Dude there are some awesome deals on ebay for chips and Costco has boxes with like 13 packs of Bicycle decks (the best) for like 10 bucks.
