So, i've taken some time off from poker, and a permanent hiatus from online poker. The game online is no fun, and feels like a chore, something i'm not really enjoying anymore....
I've decided that online poker is a completely different game, despite having the same exact rules as live poker... but live poker is more about the interaction with other players etc etc etc....
As such, i withdrew my measly bankroll on stars and started a live play bankroll, finally got it to manageable levels (4200$) and am playing live poker at the local casino here in OKC.
I can't tell you how big of a difference it made... where in Online poker i was a break even player (mainly due to patience issues with such small stakes) at the B&M games... I am winning nearly EVERY time i play. And I don't even have to actually play the cards at this game... its so easy to play the actual players in these games... in the last 5 times i've gone to the casino i've never had to rebuy on the table .. making
100 - 2h of play
800 - 10h of play
500 - 3h of play
200 - 3h of play
200 - 2h of play
And its not even from getting good cards.. its from the weakness at the tables... playing big pots with small hands.... which might be the biggest thing i've learned... big pots with big hands, small pots with small hands.
people are willing to go to the river no matter what when they hit top pair on the flop! I literally doubled my stack the other day within minutes of sitting down by limping in on the button with 7 limpers, with 85o and hitting a straight and stacking off on a guy with A9!
Anyhow, just thought i'd post with whats up with everything, why i hadn't been around and all that.
