I got up to $55 on Ladbrokes before they stopped the good freerolls and I found out I'd have to deposit and match the money won to withdraw, and this was a while ago before I was keen on depositing, as i do now, so I blew it all stupidly lol.

I placed 4th in one on my third try for 35 bucks at Bodog and have run it up to 340 dollars in about 2 months of playing occasionally.

You want the truth.. The truth is I wouldnt look at freerolls. I played and played, losing heavily until I couldnt afford to lose anymore. At that point freerolls were the only option so I started playing them. They gave me such an insight, and experience that now dont have to use my money and I've now got a good $300 stashed away on various sites which I use to play with. I still dip into my card now and then if a new site turns up and I get a good deposit bonus out of it, but otherwise if I want to play for money then I have to win the entrance fee through freerolls first. Its amazing how much more effort you put into your game when you have a goal of maybe earning $5 to play in a $3k competition, and its even more satisfying if you get into the money in that competition because you've earned every cent of it. Not just in that game but in getting the buy in fee too...

re: The Long Road of the Freeroller.... poker I started out with a deposit at Ultimate Bet. Didn't really know about free rolls much until I got to CardsChat. I wasted all my deposit and have worked up my stack to $6 from freerolls and free roll winnings funding cheapo sit-n-gos. Slow going but I'm learning a lot.

I blog about my adventures in trying to make $10K without depositing a single dollar. I play a lot of freerolls, and have cashed in roughly 1 out of every 15 I play in. It is tedious work, but it feels great when you cash in those big games.

It started off as a way to pass time, a little more thrilling than playing with play money. Then one night about a year and a half ago, I hit 300 bucks in a bodog tourney a few weeks before moving into a new house, and it felt good thinking I might had just won a chunk of rent. Lately though, I just play to kill time once again, hoping maybe I'll hit one out of the blue again.

I started with freerolls on pokerstars before depositing. Did the same on fulltilt. They are the only 2 sites i have deposited money. But pokerstars was the first.

I made my only deposit on Party Poker a year ago this month (still above my deposit ). I have built a small amount on Full Tilt, WPTour and ReeferPoker, but nothing to brag about. I plan on depositing soon on PokerStars, as I can't seem to break through the second round freeroll's (lost all through coin toss's).

re: The Long Road of the Freeroller.... poker i was told that even if you had won several hundred dollars thru freerolls, that you still had to deposit money and play on it before you were able to cash out your earnings from the freerolls. im not exactly sure of the stipulations but you use to not be able to cash out freeroll earnings, which makes sense to me.

I started playing my making a deposit at Bodog playing cash games. I later learned of tournaments and then freerolls. I won't play in a freeroll if there are too many players. My biggest win ever was in a $500.00 freeroll. I came in first and won $150.00.

I am on a very limited fixed income, so I thought I could easily make some extra gas money playing all these freerolls, Wrong! lol. The gas went up a lot faster than my bankroll. But, thanks to forums like this, and all the practice from the freerolls, I can occasionally play in a real money tourney, with my winnings, but still the highest I have ever gotten my bankroll was about twenty bucks. So, I'm not planning any long trips anytime soon. LOL

I play in freerolls often, only to win and play real money ring games and loose it, if I stick to the trounaments I do fairly well. I hope to do well enough in all freerolls soon to bring extra income into our house, however that is pretty hard, as I can't quite figure out all the donks style of play. For example today a couple of low rasies and calls in front of me I have 99 so I push, get one of them to call me. They turn up KQ, and what do you know they hit a K on the river. Have to figure out exactly which way is better to play it I guess.
