Live and online Live players are generally much weaker and don't like to fold. Online players are overall better, harder to read (no physical tells), and by comparison will fold more often. Online you want to take advantage of all the things you can't take advantage of live - multi-tabling, using a HUD, taking good notes, and table selection.

I dont agree with that at all. Strong Live players are much Stronger that strong online players. Most online players are passive players and would get ripped apart live. Granted your going to get donks in a casino who are drunk/ just there for a gamble but if you go to a higher limit cash game in a casino you will find that the play is very strong. The fact that there is visable tells is what makes strong live players superior.

Im not denying that there are some great online players. But what im stating is that there is a lot of weak online players who are made to look better than what they are because they have the advantage of using a HUD, searching online database for player stats etc. You dont have that option in real life. You have to find it out for yourself whilst sat at a table with lots of distractions going on all around you. Its like comparing a Rugby union Player to a Rubgy league player. Or a Rugby player to an American football both could probably intergrate into the other but would have to learn to change their game in order to do so.

re: Live and online poker Honestly, I would have thought that live players were better than Online players just based on the ability to read. It seems like if online players tried to play live they would lose (because of the tells) alot more than live players would lose if they went online (because they could still play their game but would have to sacrifice their reading skills). Also online players would be tempted to play with a wider range of hands live because they would be bored because they could be used to multi-tabling.

well I can tell you there are atleast a few less donkeys live.... Its hard to look someone in the face and call with 8 3 preflop and not feeling like ur the worst player in the world.. Online people dont care they would rather play poker lottery then poker..
