live game observing

im playing a live cash game tonite and want to work on observing the other players. what should i be looking for? i tend to let my mind wander without really learning anything. i would like to improve on two aspects of observation, what would be your top two things to look for?

betting patterns just as raises every suited conector (just example), plays only high cards, u shold look how agresive players play until the showdown witch cards he plays or raises to

Concentrate first on the two to your left. I like to then concentrate a bit on the two to my right after that. The rest of the table will come together...
