limit holdem

I thourght i would try my hand at limit holdem so i deposited $30 on pokerstars.
My BR is now up to $120.
What i would like to know is -
what BR & blinds or buy in do you need for each level.
.5/.10 .10/.20 .20/.50 and so on up to about 5/10

That's quite an increase from limit poker. How long has that taken you and what stakes and how many hands?

For $120 you could play .50. this gives you just shy of around 300 big blinds. I think though, they do limit 25L? If so I'd recommend that, you have enough for the swings then.

They basically say you need a minimim of 300 blinds for each level up to .50/1.00 but once you progress past this level you should up your buy-ins as the players tend to get better although I'm not sure if this is true with limit.

Quite often, people even with small BR's will play up to 1.00 and even 2.00 etc.

If u are confident with ur playstyle u need 300 BB in each level. If u want to play more safe wait for 500 BB in each level.

100 small blinds to buy in with and 100 in reserve. If you lose that you should pack it in for the day. Your total bankroll and your $ per hour or BB per hour should determine your level. But your buy in does not need to be as high as NL.

The guidelines are 300 big bets as opposed to blinds
