I'm playing at PokerStars, so don't get rakeback. However, I think that it would be perfectly legitimate to include rakeback, bonuses etc in the calculations. The bankroll is after all money made from playing poker. How that money is made (imho) is largely irrelevant, so long as it's a direct result of playing poker.

Would be interested to hear if others in this thread include rakeback / bonuses in their stats.

Day 0: 100% ($150)
Day 6: 280% ($420)
Day 7: 329% ($493)
Day 8: 426% ($624)
Day 9: 463% ($695)
Day 10: 544% ($812)

Good day for me overall. Feel really confident with my MTT play. It just keeps getting more and more solid. With my strengthened aggression around bubble time I managed to go from SS and last til 23rd out of 800 or so in the 19k $24+$2 KO tourney on full tilt. So that makes my 2nd top 25 appearance or so in the last 3 days in really large MTT's. Other than that, won a $30+$3 SNG and bubbled out of two more. Here's my 10 day graph:

Ok, then I start. Dunno how I shall calculate this, but I start with 300 EUR on Passionbet today. And lets see how this goes.

Day 0: 300 EUR (100%)

Wish me luck

Welcome and thanks for joining to all new posters!

Rakeback should be included in your progress update / graph as long as you use it for poker (i.e. it's part of your bankroll).
If you keep rakeback separate and cash it out, then obv. it shouldn't be included.

Progress Update

Day 105: 222% ($4,448)
Day 106: 259% ($5,174)
Day 109: 297% ($5,942)

I'll now finally go back to updating more regularly. Hopefully this will motivate me to play more because I've only played a couple thousand hands in the last two weeks. I'm not even Platinum for February yet

I'll just give up on setting myself a goal in terms of hands played because I hate "having to do" something and end up playing less instead of more.

The weekend before last, I satellited into the Sunday Million, but haven't played it yet. I'll probably play the Warmup next Sunday instead because it has a smaller field and fits better with my time zone.
In general, I'll try to play maybe one MTT per day alongside with the cash games. But here we are back to setting goals, so I'll leave it at that.

You divide your new bankroll by your starting bankroll and multiply the result with 100.
(778.60 EUR * 100) / 300 EUR = 77860 EUR / 300 EUR = 259.5%

In your case, you can also simply divide your new bankroll by 3.
778.60 EUR / 3 EUR = 259.5%

Can you give some detail on what games you played? Did you go deep in a tournament?

Ok mate, I will do that then. I played 3/6 NL USD omaha game. My game is omaha for sure. Last year I won 170.000 dollar, mostly in hold em, but also in omaha. I removed all my money online, and want to build a new bankroll on Poker Start page - Passionbet because I know the manager there and good a good rakeback deal and stuff there.
So now you know a little of my story. I will update more, too tell how this goes further. Lets hope I get away from the small tilts I can have. Cant afford that

My PFR was almost 3 percentage points below normal, and my VP$IP was over 5 blow normal. This was not because I played any different to normal, but was entirely due to the poor hands that I was picking up. Of course, I didn’t complain on day3 when I had far more playable and premium hands than normal, so I have no justification for complaining today. Take note any novices – that’s poker!

Where today differs from yesterday, I maintained discipline, and played almost like a robot in that I just ignored the bad hands and waited for the few decent ones. The result – I made a small profit today rather than the significant loss of yesterday.

Bolt.

i started off with a $50.00 deposit on fulltilt about 9 months ago. i went from 50 to 200 playing micro no limit holdem. i then went from 200 to 500 playing 5.00 sng's. After breaking even for a month in the sit n gos, i went back to ring games, this time .25/.50. this was when i really started winning. i went from 500 to 1500 in only a couple of months. i then moved up to the .50/1.00 blinds, where i went from 1500 to 2000. but after that things went all down hill. it seemed there was nothing i could to stop myself from losing. i just kept getting sucked out all the time, or losing with a full house to a better fullhouse. i went from 2000 to 1000 in under a month and had to move back down in blinds. im only 18 but i would like to consider myself a very good poker player. i'm just wondering if anybody has any advice for me to get my bankroll back up or how i could of lost half of it in the first place. i usually am the one defending fulltilt poker when everyone says it's rigged, but as of late it seems that i cannot win.

Well, I'm back. Kind of. I'll be posting occasionally.

I'll show my graph, which by the way disproves my own statements (which you can probably understand why I said them, after seeing the graph), and so that the kids can see, even with a fierce tilt more than a couple times in one month, that with proper BR Management, it is still possible to be a winning player. (for now )

It is probably also a good note that I started playing with any type of basic BR about 4-5 months ago at most. I'm a fairly streaky player, but am trying to get that under control.
The more than few times I tittled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which almost caused me to have my first losing month. Streaking going into the weekend only to be surrounded by loose players I would take a couple horrible beats and losses in sit and gos and more or less fall apart several times. But, working my way back to 40 cents down going into the last day of the month, I managed to more than pull it off. The micros at pokerstars are brutal most of the time, so my sit and go play has basically brought me to a new high, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do because I can't stand the rings.

As for my newly acquired BR at Tilt a couple weeks ago, thanks to two Sunday CC final table free rolls ( Thanks CC! ) I'm going to play with this one a bit. Looking to exponentially increase this thing in less time than I'm taking at Stars, because there are really no decent guarantee MTTs at Tilt, so I'll have to stick to the rings. I'm currently looking for and playing shorthanded CAP tables where every person at the table doesn't want to see the flop, which is sometimes hard to find because of the sheer number of people playing at the .05/.10 tables is so low.
I've been doing decent. Players seem a lot easier to read, most of the time calling with horrible hands, and the fact that I can deal with losing the cap in one hand isn't a big deal, which helps a bit. I'll probably will post a graph sooner or later if I don't loose it all, since I don't have a great sized roll, but I think it is definitely adequate to make something happen.

GL at the tables everyone.

Progress Update

Day 106: 259% ($5,174)
Day 109: 297% ($5,942)
Day 110: 266% ($5,327)

Well, on the first day of wanting to play more hands, I ended up with the grand total of 700 hands. That's just over one fourth the amount I'm shooting for, so things can only improve from here *sigh*

Today, I lost quite a bit of money to a huge fish. It was really quite peculiar, so here's a quick story. He started with $120, his VPIP was around 50%, we will call him Nemo.

11:13 pm: Nemo limps from EP, I raise AK, he calls. The flop comes AQQ, he checks, I bet, he calls. The turn it comes a blank, he checks, I put him all-in for less than half the pot. He turns over Q3 suited.
$120 --> $250.

11:18 pm: Nemo limps from EP, I limp on the button with 78s. I flop top two pair on a two-flush board. He bets half the pot, I raise, he calls. The turn it comes an offsuit Jack, he bets, I raise, he pushes, I call. Nemo has 9To.
$230 --> $470.

11:24 pm: The pot is a 5-way limped pot. I complete in the SB with J6o. I flop top two pair on a J56 rainbow board. First to act, I bet 3/4 pot, two players fold, Nemo calls, one player pushes for $77. I call, hoping Nemo would come along with a weak Jack, and indeed he does (only he doesn't have a weak Jack).
The turn is a King, I bet just over half of Nemo's stack, he calls. The river is a 3, I put him all-in, he calls. He has 74o.
$350 --> $800.

11:25 pm: Nemo sits out.

I hope you liked the story

Day 0: 100% ($150)
Day 6: 280% ($420)
Day 7: 329% ($493)
Day 8: 426% ($624)
Day 9: 463% ($695)
Day 10: 544% ($812)
Day 11: 572% ($858)

Just had enough time for two SNG's. Won a $22+$2 turbo for $99 and bubbled out of a $30+$3 when my straight ran into a river flush. Didn't bet the turn hard enough and that's what I got. Regardless, I haven't had a negative day in over a week so that's something to be pleased about.

I am back in the swing of things...FINALLY...and deposited $50 to start with on PokerStars. I know...i know...this is a low amount of starting $$, but I will be putting in ~$50 every couple of weeks until I get a decent bankroll ($500 - $1000)....this will give me a chance to actually earn some $$ (or lose, depending on play) and not just throw in $1000 at one time. Anyways, here are my stats:

Day 0: (100%) $50 - deposited $50 to PokerStars via MoneyGram (which is excellent btw)
Day 1: (106.34%) $53.17 - ~400 hands
Day 2: (113.52%) $56.76 - ~250 hands
Day 3: (120.82%) $60.41 - ~170 hands
Day 4: (99.56%) $49.78 - ~80 hands - lost $4.63 + ~$6.00 lost in SnG's... I seem to not be that great at these, so if anyone can give me any pointers...that would be great (*willing to send in HHF for anyone interested*) I seem to make most of my money in ring games and then lose some in SnG's / tournies all the time.
Day 5: (141.50%) $70.75 - ~430 hands
Day 6: (150.04%) $75.02 - ~89 hands

There is where I currently stand. I just downloaded Poker Tracker 3 and was wondering if anyone has tried it and if so....what do you think of it?

Progress Report

Start date: February 18, 2008
Start amount: $50.00
playing: 25c/50c limit HE with some cheap MTTs

Day 0: 100%
Day 1: 44.16%
Day 2: 78.66%

Comments: This is on Betfred, which I find plays a lot like a bricks and mortar poker room and has good traffic in its limit games at most hours of the day. Like most of my opponents I've been playing tight but the first day was just a bad downswing, with few hands coming in and the ones that did getting drawn out. The low BR-to-BB ratio is largely responsible for the crazy swings in percentage. Call it by-the-hair-on-your-butt bankroll management.

Now. ill start posting my progress. I started my bankroll from scratch so it wouldnt a lot of sense to put it as a starting point. Instead ill asume that my starting point in this thread is Feb 1 2007 where my bank stands at roughly 6394. So here goes my first progress report. I have played almost every day in February but havent been able to play as much as I would like, because i have a lot going on in college right now. I always play 100NL with the occasional mtt or sng thrown into the mix.

Day 1 100% 6,394.86
Day 2 101% 6,441.86
Day 3 99% 6,337.10
Day 4 103% 6,564.99
Day 5 102% 6,553.19
Day 6 101% 6,440.81
Day 7 105% 6,686.35
Day 8 107% 6,828.21
Day 9 109% 6,943.21
Day 10 105% 6,700.21
Day 11 111% 7,066.69
Day 12 111% 7,125.90
Day 13 112% 7,175.88
Day 14 114% 7,293.92
Day 15 116% 7,405.19
Day 16 113% 7,250.19
Day 17 112% 7,132.51

Noticed some inactivity around here, thought I'd pick things back up

Day 0: 100% ($150)
Day 6: 280% ($420)
Day 7: 329% ($493)
Day 8: 426% ($624)
Day 9: 463% ($695)
Day 10: 544% ($812)
Day 11: 572% ($858)
Day 12: 614% ($924)
Day 13: 517% ($778)
Day 14: 613% ($920)
Day 15: 670% ($1005)

Pretty solid day. Didn't play all that much but 4-tabled a SNG session, winning a $30+$3 and a $20+$2 for a decent yield. Everything else I either bubbled on or busted out earlier with typically the better hand. Hopefully I can hit the 1000% mark here in the next few weeks before I head down to Panama City Beach for spring break .

Nice to see many of your bankrolls moving in the right direction. Mine isn't nearly as impressive, but what the heck, this looks like fun so I'll play too.

I made my first deposit ($25) in Dec '07, lost much of it playing SNGs and micro stake ring NL (was actually down to $3). Finally began to turn it around in Jan '08 and now sit at $43 (woohoo!), so let's make this amount day 1. I know it's shy of Chris_TC's minimum, but I don't want to wait until I hit $50.

Day 1: 100% ($43)

I play micro stake ($1+.20) SNG's most of the time, but occasionally play the micro stakes ring games. I find my ring game sucks as opposed to my SNG game.

GL Marco. Hang with it and play at the right stakes for long enough and you'll move up if your play is smart and consistent.

Look familiar? Trip 7's were not good to me today. Should I have played any of these hands differently?

Well if you think somebody is on a draw (and they like to call anything), you can always overbet the pot to try and get them out. But if you are playing low limit MTT/SnGs there will be terrible players that will call anything totally regardless of pot odds, until the river where they will fold if you bet and they missed. HOWEVER, although you may get the odd bad beat from these ppl in the long run you will make a huge amount from them.

That being said, you should have folded the first hand instead of calling his all in. He is showing absolutely no agression...pretty obvious that he hasn't hit any part of the flop so he is on a straight or flush draw. River could have given him a flush or a straight and a player who is flat calling you like that is highly unlikely to go all in on the river with squat, since he knows you have a hand.

2nd hand you played alright. That was a pretty bad beat not much you can do about it.

Thanks, feitr. I know I should have folded the first one, but I had seen him shove twice prior to, but in the same orbit as, this hand so that helped convince me. To be honest, I was way more concerned about the flush. I hadn't even considered 10 8 for the straight. Oh well, lesson learned.

Haven't posted in here since I said I was going to build a bankroll, mainly because I was embarrassed about my awful losing streak. I started with $100 and was down to $78 after 4 or 5 days. Anyway, I've now clawed it back and feel very positive about my play. Only been playing $2 S&Gs so I feel I've done quite well to recover my early losses. So here's how it looks now:

Day 1 $100
Day 6 $78.20
Day 7 $87.75
Day 8 $90.60
Day 9 $101.10

I only started keeping track when I started to win money again From now on I'm going to record my bankroll status every day, though, even when I don't turn a profit. Otherwise there's no point, really.

Day 3 has proven more successful than day 2. I played 4 $1 +.20 SNG's, finished 2nd twice, 3rd once, and busted out of the 4th in 5th place. I also had a ticket to a private freeroll that my bro-in-law got from a recent Maple Leaf game he went to. 313 people, 82 paid, I finished 5th for $8. I wouldn't have wasted my time with this one but 1st place was a buy in to the Sunday Million ($215) which would have been nice. Anyway, here's how the day ended:

Day 1: 100% ($43)
Day 2: 100% ($43, $42.99 to be exact)
Day 3: 120% ($51.59)

On to day 4...

Graph shows how bad my play has been lately. I can't seem to find a problem with my play. I may have to take a break and study or change to another game or site. Sucks.

Just so you guys know, I haven't disappeared. I'm still posting on the site as I'm sure you know, but I'm not playing much poker at the moment as I'm trying to plug some leaks and establish just why and how this d/schwing snowballed.

At the moment I'm reading a lot of stuff and playing very small sample of hands just to try
