Is it legal to use Poker calculators softwares on online Poker rooms?

Hello,

I ve seen many different softwares you can use online. they calculate your odds and statistics.

Are they LEGAL?

I asked Pacific Poker staff and they answered: "...it is not fair to use programs to take advantage from the others players"

I wat to know before I buy one of them

calculaters i dont think there illegal but some sites dont allow trackers

Hey pokerstove is a great calculator and u can use it on pokerstars and FT so considering they are the strictest shouldnt be a problem elsewhere and the best thing is Pokerstove is currently still free to down load www.pokerstove GL

I know alot of players on fulltilt who have trackers and some sort of software and all of them say if u play on line u need some sort of tracker. I have not purchased one yet but iam seriously considering it.

I think on most poker rooms you are allowed to use any software that uses ONLY data you collect. Basically every poker room has banned the software that accesses data on the internet about players (i.e. data that you did not personally gather).

Pokerstove, equity calculators, etc. are always ok to use.

There are some tools and services which have legitimate uses for analysing your game, but which are not appropriate for use during play. For example, ICM (Independent Chip Model) and Nash Equilibrium tools may be used for post-game analysis and for studying hands which you have previously played. Also, there are some web-based results databases, and its fine to use these to look at your own results. However, you may not use such a tool while the PokerStars software is open.

I've used a poker calculator. It's very helpfull but your game will not progress it hink.

Legal is one question.
Fair is another.

All things equal you should stack your stack against most any player.
Life is not Fair and things are not always equal.

Do they give you an edge. (Most definitely Yes)

Do I use one (Won't say one way or the other)

Just posing the question Am I a better player with then without and are they Fair against others not using them.

I have holdem indicator and omaha indicator on my computer but have failed to use it to many times.
When I did use it I found it didnt really help me out alot.
One thing that I noticed when I used it was that usually I was able to figure out my odds and outs by myself without really needing it.
I guess to answer your question though is yes I think holdem indicator is legal to use on all the sites I used it.
At least the free version was.
