learned a new cash game this weekend

my friends and i were playing cash poker sat. night, and the new game i learned is called guts. It is kinda like holdem, you get 2 cards dealt face down. then u put a chip under the table away from everyones sight and put it in one hand or the other. I f you want to play the 2 crads you put the hand with chip on the table closed. everyone opens there hands and if 2 or more people decide to play their 2 cards the best hand gets paid equal to the pot by the losing hands......pots are usually $1 ante per player.....if no one opens their hand and lays a chip down then everyone antes again for the next hand...if only one person opens and lays down a chip they get the pot......some mad money exchanged hands saturday night playing this game

So its kinda like a interactive lottory?

This sounds simple but at the same time kind of confusing. I think i would have to see it done or just stick to indian poker if I ever want to stray from hold em'

i play a different variation with 3 cards but ya its a gamble.

fun for home games between friends tho. kinda like flipping online
