This is lame!!

I joined a $2 heads-up shootout on full tilt. There were 320 players to start, I've now been waiting over 20 minutes for my match to start (first round), since it's a turbo the blinds have been going up the whole time... They'll probably be close to half my starting stack by the time my first match starts. This just seems like a horrible set-up for a tournament.

You sure you didn't get a bye round? I don't know how these are set up.

Actually, after waiting about a half hour I got my first match. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought though as blinds reset to starting point. Took down my first one in 11 hands. God knows how long I'm gonna be waiting for the next round to start though...

Edit: some people have to have a bye round if its 320 instead of 256 entries

Each match in a shootout starts from the beginning. If you get a bye, that's a GOOD thing. But turbo blinds on FT???!!! Their sng structure is fast enough without turbos.

I don't think you really could get a bye round with this setup, & if you did you would be at a huge disadvantage when you started as you would have 1500 vs your opponents 3000.

EDIT: Actually just started my 2nd match, & started back at 1500 chips, so I gues maybe you could get a bye.

yea huge HU tourns are retarded. Your $$/hr is pathetic, seeing as you have to wait forever for all the matches in that round to finish.
