Lack of respect for Vanessa Rousso

I am trying to understand why many women have very little consideration for professional poker player Vanessa Rousso.

I have read many disrespectful comments about her primarily from the female side.

Furthermore I just found this poll over the internet and the results confirm the tendency:

Really u can't figurethis out, come on take a look at her, very hot, playboy hot or any model hot. most womencan't stand her because of her looks, any poker player knows she is a very good pro and can hold her own in many of the top games, but she isjust to dam hot for women to handle.

For what it is worth, I think it stems from the occassional comments that she makes that make her seem like she does not know what she is doing. Plus people be trollin.

What "female side" are you looking at? What is the source of that poll? I've been involved with women's poker for quite some time now and have never come across such a poll or seen anything that would support such blanket statements. Of course there will always be personal biases but that's something else all together.

Personally, I am filled with admiration and respect for Vanessa. Not only is she brilliant and a fine player, but is unpretentious and a lovely person as well. I also think she is a great ambassador for women's poker. Just recently, for instance, she was instrumental in creating the women's league on Poker Stars.

Yes, but it would require you to tuck and duct tape something that would make it obviously tougher to play poker sitting in a chair.

I wouldn't mind seeing if Vanessa possesses some volleyball skills, myself. Poker is just one of many career fields a talented female ends up in. Throw her into a bikini, see if she has a good serve and she can play on the volleyball circuit for an even bigger fan base.

Vanessa? Sorry. Not hot. Not humble. Not appealing. Not a good poker player. All IMO, of course.

Combining looks, personality, and skill, I'd take so many other female poker players over her. Women like Jen Harman & Annie Duke have the total combined package. Nice solid personality, good poker skills, and good looks.

I think part of the resentment towards Vanessa was how she came onto the poker scene. She basically final tabled a WSOP Circuit event by playing only in a robe.

After that she got better, but really only after hooking up with Chad Brown who she eventually married.

She is definitely an accomplished pro now, but I've seen quotes from her that don't always put her in a good light.

I think most people today probably don't have a problem with her.

As for her hotness, her sisters (on the left) are about 10x hotter...

I admire her a lot, and think she is a really good player, but I have to admit there are some women players that I for some reason dont like. Its Tiffany Michelle and her friends.

As for the lack of respect for Russo... well, have you seen her play WSOP? She's kind of like a female Daniel Negreanu... but not really funny, or likable imo. The only things she has going are breasts/ass.
