It seems to take a long time for limit sng's to fill up on most sites, from what I've observed. The horse tables seem to fill faster so I usually just go for that. There's often limit cash tables going on Tilt though. Not the same, I know. Just throwing it out there.

A lot of newer players dont seem to be playing limit purely because they cannot go 'all-in' every hand There can be a lot of decent play in a limit game - even your starting hole cards could vary in playability opposed to NLHE. Thats why people should try to experience different kinds of games, it all helps in the long run

re: lack of limit players poker From my experience in Holdem/Omaha Hi - LIMIT MTT.. The good part of the game is after first break or so. Once the Stakes get to the 200/400+up levels the tone changes and the play is much better, unless a few "lucky pushers" have managed to continue to bet, raise the Limit every round and pull off suck-out after suck-out.. Those players seldom last anyhow. The other thing about Playing Limit MTT is that the # of entrants is less so the pay-out is a lower amount and the $ prizes are also smaller...so there is 1) Greater % of cashing ITM 2)ROI is more likely than NL as the 'reins' are on the bet amounts preventing a bust out pre-maturely. There are both advantages and dis-advantages to playing Limit. As for Limit ring games the donk factor is relative to the stakes.. although there is no ALL-IN blind steals. The playable hands have greater options.

I think the odd thing is that so many NL players want the game to be played as if it were Limit. To me, any person who gripes about suckouts at NLHE really, really, really should be playing limit. But then I dream about world peace and a disease free world, where there is never a traffic jam, and the work week is 4 hours long.
