| Killin the FT turbo SNG's About 2 months ago I was playing $10 max trying to clear my little $200 sign up bonus.I was doing ok and ended up clearing about $80 in 2 months on top of my $200 or so profit. This was right around the time I got Poker Tracker and Poker Ace Hud.The only problem was these cash games were boring the shit out of me. I then started playing $6.50 turbo SNG's.I used to play strictly TAG early the get more aggressive as the blinds moved up.Now that I see all these stats on players it's like a new me.I would only be able to describe my play now as sooooper LAG.I quickly pwned these and moved up to the $12 turbos.Pwned them, then moved to $24 turbo's.Then to the $36's.After my BR hit $1000 I had to cash out $500 for some bills.I then moved back down to $24's and tried to 2 table them.It worked well and I am now ready to go back up. Here are some of my stats: My first 60 $24 turbo's:1rst=9,2nd=4,3rd=1,Profit=$531,ROI=37% My last 30(two tabling):1rst=7,2nd=4,3rd=2,Profit=$289.80,ROI=40% Total for first 90:1rst=20,2nd=13,3rd=6,Profit=$829.80,ROI=38% My first 25 $36 turbo's:1rst=4,2nd=5,3rd=3,Profit=$317,ROI=35% Now I know this isn't a large sample of SNG's by any means.Although I really feel as though I have made large strides this year and I don't see myself going backwards anytime soon. I have totally stepped up my game a notch or 3.Once I figure out what the hell I am doing(maybe after 1000 games or so)I will post a turbo SNG strategy. For the most part I have been playing the player far more than the cards. Anyway, this isn't meant to be a brag post.I will update this thread every 100 games or so and let yall know if I am a good player,or just a donk on one hell of a heater. |

| Your results are consistant at least, you KNOW you can turn a great profit from these. Your ROI is above average for sure, so you are getting lucky/playing A game, alot of luck in turbos though. Wait till the bad luck/dead card streaks happens..... if you handle your tilt well you will minimize losses. |

Ya see that's the great part. The cards have little to do with it.I have ruled all my tables early,or been out quick.I am super Lag from start to finish(most of the time).I will post a strategy if I have at least 20%ROI after 1000 games. Turbo's are not as lucky as they seem(IMHO).You make your own luck.I have been raising any unopened pot with SC's,SG's,and small PP's from any position. If I miss the flop I see if it's most likely my opponent did to.Then I put them to the test.I think I really have mastered these turbo's.If not, time WILL tell, and I know that. BTW,since I posted, here's my last 5 $36 turbos: 1rst:1 2nd:2 3rd:0 I play a lot of people over and over and I am getting reads constantly. All I can really say now is it don't get much better than tis and I hope I do as good at the $60's(which is not far away if I can keep from withdrawing) |

| My last 29 $36 turbo results: 1rst: 5 Payout:$740 2nd: 4 Payout:$356.40 3rd : 1 Payout:$59.40 Total Payout:$1155.80 Total Investment:$1044 ROI:11% Not so hot,but I did try 2 tabling the fisrt 20.I'm not so good at it yet it seems. For instance I had 3 out out 5 wins and one second in my last 6 games. All in all I feel I have been profitable enough to try a stab at the $60 turbos.I will play 5 and see how I do.Results coming soon. |

As for the streak, seems like you are doing real good, but tbh I dont think anywhere near 20% ROI is realistic for 36 dollar S&Gs. I would think the players would be too good at the 36 dollar level to attain that kind of an ROI over a large sample. Maybe someone with more experience in S&Gs knows |

| Thanks for the advice on the video.I wish I had it for my second $60 turbo.I totally pwned it. My name is DetroitJimmy on FT. I just played 3 $60 sng's and I am done for the night.Got a second, first then a loss.I really feel as though I have one hell of a grasp on these turbo's.If I show a video yall will prolly throw up at how sick I play. My plan is to at least earn 200 FTP's a day so I can make Iron Man.If I can continue to play at least break even poker for a year or so I will have enough points to get something nice like a plasma or huge monitor.I will take the bonus medals I get and cash them in for points.Plus the rakeback I'm getting is sick at these levels. I just cashed out $200(30% of my profit this week). That leaves my BR at over $1000 still.I will make that my new starting point and as long as I turn a profit next week I will cashout weekly up to 50% of my profit. For instance:next week if my ending BR is $1500,I will allow myself to cashout up to $250.Now my new starting point will be $1250.The following week if I happen to make it to $2250,I will allow myself to cashout $500 and so on. I will move up when I feel comfortable or when I get 20 buy ins at the new level+5 for the new. Video coming soon.Thank you all for the support. |
