If either of the first two cards off the deck are exposed it is a misdeal. Otherwise, you continue dealing as usual, the player who had the card exposed gets the last card, and the exposed card become the burn card.

There are two ways to deal with it.
-Like everyone said above. The reason most places don't count just 1 card a misdeal is it slows the game down. You have to collect the card and shuffle agian vs just keep going. Long term this speeds up the game. -Very few place will consider any upturned card a misdeal and start over. Sometimes home or bar leagues will do this. That way all outs can still be considered and easier to remember what to do if people are dealing themselves. Last edited by titans4ever : 26-06-2007 at 5:49 AM. |

I've had this happen before on a deal. They showed everybody the card at one table and put it aside, then finished the dealing. Another table I was at it was the first card they threw out on the table so they took it back and grabed the other deck out of the automatic shuffler.
